Will hard alloy pellets hurt your barrel?

Going through a box of old pellets(some probably 10 years old) I found some weird stuff. Some russian brand pellets that seem super hard and some crossman penetrators which are the ones that are poly around the base and sides and has a hard alloy pointed tip sabot type deal within. Is there any way these would hurt rifleing? I know these uglies won't be accurate but my curiosity is there. I just want to see what they will do to some wood really lol. Maybe try to punch some holes in coins. I only had break barrels when I purchased these things long ago.

If your barrel is steel they should not hurt it. If it is brass I would not shoot to many alloys through it although the plastic sabot stuff should be fine from either barrel.

Thanks for the reply. I feel like it is a dumb question though since they actually make these pellets to begin with. It just seems a little much with lead as the usual projectile. As for the brass barrels.....they actually make those?
