wildcat breach o-ring

My 22 wildcat goes thru a breach seal o-ring every 2500 shots like clock work. Just went thru my 3rd one. I'm tired of looking for the size, so I'll just ask. I think it is 5.28x1.78 but not sure. There is a big hydraulic and air cylinder place not far away so was going to check with them and see if they had it in different materials to try. Maybe this is where I should go into a rant about FX. Just kidding. Couldn't be happier with them and this gun this gun.

While we've got a thread entitled WC breach o-ring, it would be good to have the sizes for the .177 and .25 barrel breach o-rings as well.

OK, the O-rings are all listed in the assembly sheet here:

The .177 (4.5mm) barrel takes 4,3x1,5 NBR 70 It is part 2529.
The .22 (5.5mm) barrel takes 5,28x1,78 Pur 70 It is part 5108.
The .25 (6.35mm) barrel takes 6,35x1,27 NBR70 It is part 4526.

I'm sorry I did not see the Wildcat .22 cal. took the Pur 70 type of o-ring. my .25 cal. for whatever reason takes the Buna 70. Though if you got the Buna 70 in the 100 pack I guess you can just replace them a little more often. Here is the correct size and type at the O-Ring Store.

"Wingman"My best guess is that you are using the wrong sized o rings. It is important to use metric o rings in guns made to fit metric sized o rings.
All FX are metric.
N70 5.5mm X 1.5mm or 6.0mm x 2.0mm are not the same as the imperial o ring 008 (5.78mm x 1.78) there is enough of a difference in some fitments to premiturly wear, dislodge or leak.
In all o-rings there are some tolerance allowances. And there may be as you say enough to make a difference in performance. They size equivalent was an 009 not 008 as you mentioned. I know I searched high and wide in the US to find the metric sizes listed in the FX parts list. I come to believe some must actually be AS568 spec. o-rings in reality but that is my theory. In the end if we can help each other out to find what we need at an reasonable price that is a good thing. Bill

Here is the AS569 chart for comparison

Here is the N700009 orings I bought

Here are some of the o-rings I bought from Amazon and the O Ring Store

Wow mubhaur, Replacing the o-ring every 60-90 shots would be a pain. Have you checked your pellet probe to make sure there isn't a burr or a sharp edge. Run a dry Q-tip over it and see if it pulls any fibers off. They are not really hard to replace. Just aggravating trying to stuff the slick greasy bugger into the groove. Kind of like checking the prostate on a house cat.

Buy these .Have not had one blow out in a long time

Anyone find a good source for the 25 cal WC?

I found them ... never mind

Where did you find them? I ended up ordering a few from FXUSA. I found another web site but I can't recall the name of it. They had a $25 minimum order and just didn't need any more Orings than the ones for the WC 25.

O-ring store has both the Buna & Viton. Buna's are $.14 and Viton $.39.

I should have them by the end of next week. Shoot me a PM with your address and I'll send you some. I bought both.

Oops... I bought 1.78 instead of 1.27. I'll search some more.
