Wildcat 30cal hammer spring adjustment

Oh I see. Tell us what you are trying to do. Just get a little more FPS or a LOT? If the reg is set maybe 145-150b already, you might just be able to go in on the HS and gain. On my HUMA I know CW increases the pressure. But it is installed backwards compared to the FX reg.

This may help you.

Once you test the reg where it is set now and increase the HST CW until it goes up and then begins to fall. Then you back out just a bit. That will be the max for the reg setting. If that isn't your target fps, then you will have to go up on the reg to get any more.

And, just a little goes a long way. Add a little reg pressure, reassemble and back the HST out and start back in with it over the chrono until you reach max speed again. Shampoo, rinse. repeat until you have the target FPS.

So CW increases HST and Reg pressure. CCW reduces both.

Does that answer your question?

Remove the rubber ball covering the adjustment screw, you have to remove the stock if you cant see it , just aft of the rear air tube clamp. CCW to increase pressure if you have a FX gauge you can install it on the left side of action just loosen the brass plug and bleed the pressure in the air tube then remove the brass plug and screw on gauge to get an accurate reg adjustment. You still have to increase HST, the speed will peck defore you bottom out the HSTA.

All WC HSTA are lock tightened, most likely you will strip the HSTA!

you will need a macro torch to heat the OD thread of the HSTA to loosen. With a large torch you may damage the hammer spring and other parts.
