Why the Boss is the Boss at Campfussell at 100 plus yds

I'm sitting here thinking should I post this? Because there are going to be so many unbelievers? I swear I wish I could get this magic on video.

But I did have a witness this morning. My wife watched as he shook her head and say's "you're just like a little kid with that thing".

And she's right. Every time I shoot a killer target I run to her like I did with the second target while she was drying her hair saying "look mommy this group was even tighter, but the first group had a higher score because it had one more x in the kill zone"

OK, I step out on the porch after feeding all the critters and trying to make up my mind to shoot or head to Hardees for breakfast. I noticed it was dead calm? Ha, that's a no brainer....breakfast can wait.

Aired the Boss up to 250 bar. I always put a splatter target on the barrel under the NUAH target and shot it first to get my bearings.Shot five shots at it, then proceeded to shoot the NUAH target. First shot was dead in the bulls eye. Second shot was the flyer, then three more shots in the bullseye. I knew it was a good target from looking through the scope, but was still concerned about the flyer messing everything up?

Holy frikkin' Moly. It scored a 50/50 with 4x's and measured 0.925 center to center. Yeah baby....I can hear Rick Rehm say "Come On Man" in my head.

Rifle .30 FX Boss shooting 44.75 gr JSB's straight from the tin. Scoped, Sightron SIII 10-50 on 30 power

Then the magic happened

So after all that I tried my luck again. Got a smaller group but it wasn't as good on the score board with only 3 x's

Peace and NUAH Grease

Thanks Derrick, Bob, Dave, and Mike

As for EBR, I would totally suck. I can't shoot in the wind? Can only make magic like this happen on dead calm days.

Early this morning it was probably as close to shooting indoors as you can get?

But man, I love this gun. That target will be my entry for NUAH this month.

Thanks for the joy this gun has brought me Derrick. Dang, you sold it and the Bobcat? "Why" I keep asking myself! LOL

Peace

Mike, Yeah, Christian got it....Nothing under a Hundred Club over at GTA. I'll pm you.

Yeah buddy Christian, that little kid feeling is what its all about!

Paul, heck yeah that 50 Meter Benchrest ain't no joke! I haven't even mastered the 25 meter yet but have made two or three 250 cards with the Thomas. I don't think they allow .30 cal on the 50 meter cards? LOL

This may have something to do with it:

Good golly miss molly! That is Hot!!!!! Can't wait to hear more about her!

Nice, scratch that TERRIFIC shooting fuss. Did you sort and or lube the pellets? I don't blame ya for postponing breakfast either. Calm days here in SE NM are far and few in between, first light or sun set normally.

Jimmy

Thanks, and no sorting or lubing Jimmy.

I had run about 5 dry patches through the barrel Saturday the last time I shot it because of all the moisture in the air that morning.

Had a lot less humidity this morning, so I just stuck her back in the case after 15 shots. Still haven't run it across the Chrony?

Yep, I shoot at dawn and dusk also. Try to beat the heat and the wind.

Had a late breakfast at 10:30 too full to eat lunch now!

@ Glem Thanks buddy, yes the NUAH is a great challenge. Hope the FX 500 can hang with this bad boy!

NUAH is now in all our lexicon. Appreciate the definition. I would bet the AGN group will get hot and heavy into this. Great shooting and thanks for the inspiration. I know what Mike will be doing next weekend.

Socaloldman The NUAH is compliments of the GTA Forum. AGN and GTA are the best two forums out there, and I appreciate Michael letting us mention another forum on his page.

But I don't think we should call it NUAH if we were to start one here? Not fair to the guys over at GTA? Not sure what to call it if we were to do something similar here, but I bet Centercut will take it and run with it?

I dunno, I kinda like it where it's at and there are lots of GTA members here and lots of AGN members there. I like how the two forums compliment each other.

Glem, that's some sweet shooting with your .25. I hope mine can hang with you!

I was out in the wind with my .22 Cricket pup just a bit ago trying to get a good zero at 106 yds but the wind was a nightmare. Couldn't get anything under 2" and the 18 gr was doing better than the 25 gr? Finally had to give up? But shoots both pellets under a dime at 46 yds in this wind? Scratching my head on this one? Different POI for both pellets of course.
