I would have to re read the rules, but I've seen many pics on the hunting section. Not going to lie, I thought the first part in your reply was talking about us all stuck in the rabbit hole lol I know I am!

Other Why so many .25 cal. for sale?

If there are more 0.25 for sale it's because people have more of them.
Just same as there are more Toyotas for sale than Cadillacs because more people own Toyotas.
I remember there was a {DMV?} study that said 77% of the car accidents happen within 15 miles of their homes. Someone may conclude that people drive more casually close to their homes, but the reality is that most people simply drive mostly within 15 miles of their homes, hence more likelihood of accidents happening within that radius.
If you look at Pelletshop right now, they are out of 0.25 caliber for M4 compact, 0.22 is still available.

In the hunting section, yes. The big digger I took down a video would have been entertaining. The Hades zipped through at 55 yards and the digger launched himself ten feet into the air somersaulting and landing DRT! The coyotes have not been doing their job and if I am going to have to do it for them might as well add them to the list of unwelcome critters. Have to think on that, they do dig but not under my buildings, yet. I would really like a .30 for them.

i prefer the .25 over the .22 trying to shoot 34 -40g slugs the .22 gun needs some loving.
moved up to the .25 now have 3 m3 600 m4 600 leopard 600 bottle and one m4 30 cal sniper.
i think some buy wanting the power not knowing until they pull the trigger in there back yard
then find out its not so backyard friendly, that's how i ended up with the 30 Cal m4 700mm.
bought it for shooting mice and squirrels had no idea how much power it has.
in reality a Noto's would be more than enough for what he was doing and backyard friendly
on another note he bought it on what the dealer recommended, i was surprised but not shocked in todays world.
i believe most new to the sport have no idea until its in there hands and shoot it.

i know i was and sometimes still do so i decided I'm going to buy a Corbin press it will pay for itself.

Agreed. I know when I unboxed my first PCP and set up target on a piece of plywood to do the initial sight in. I fired three .22 pellets and when I took down the target there were three holes in the plywood and three matching hole in my backyard fence. That was a wake up call for sure.
As for ammo costs, yes, if you shoot a lot, it adds up, but still a lot cheaper than the same shot count with my centerfire powder burners, and don't have to drive 30 miles and pay range fees.

I have taken coyotes, wild turkeys and javalinas with .25 Cal.
At close range with a perfectly placed lateral head shot I am positive that a .25 can take a white tailed deer. Not saying it is adequate or in some places legal. But feasible.
A .30 Cal fot coyotes,turkeys an javalinas is better than .25.
A .22 is good for rabbits,, squirrels, chipmunks and rats/mice.
The bigger the hole, the fastest the kill.

Naahhhh, use the .25 for the yotes. Make em hurt. Pet killing useless sh!&$ they are. We got em bad, between goin after my chickens, yard cats, and wife's little fancy dogs, I put the 32 grain HP slugs in 25, and the 40 grain .22 slugs in them.

At one time I had more than 10 pcp rifles and quickly realized I couldn't shoot them all enough to keep them limbered up. So, at that point I decided I would never shoot anything higher than 22. Never had anything bigger. I now have four pcp it took a little time to pare down etc but in the mix is a Crown and I got a 25 barrel in a trade. I shot it some, it was OK. Then I got a Dream Tac 600mm in 25 and holy Cow is it a shooter. It completely changed my mind about the 25. So I broke my rule and added 25 ammo to my stash. That makes 177, 22, and 25. Three of my rifles are FX so can be caliber changed, so I sure hope no one drops a 30 barrel on me!!!
