to count to 6? Or maybe 10 or 14? Am I the only one who can't remember how many shots I have taken? Bet you know what I am talking about.

It always makes me think of Clint Eastwoods' famous quote: "I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well to tell you the truth in all this excitement I kinda lost track myself. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and would blow your head clean off, you've gotta ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?"

Is this while you are bench shooting? If so count out your shots ahead of time. Set the pellets on the bench or in the tin lid. That's what I do. Cause otherwise I have the same problem.

This is one thing that I like about those PITA FX magazines for the Bobcat and Royale. They may be a little tricky to load sometimes, but you always know when you shot the last one. When the lever doesn't go forward, it's time to reload.

I don't know why, but to me it seems easier to remember the numbers when I start the countdown from the top/full magazine.
6-5-4.... (I have five left, four left...and so on)
Or as AZsteve points out, "when I'm not shooting the Bobcat" - or the Impact I may add - whenever it arrives.

Never been able to maintain the count myself. The only way I know the gun is empty is when the resistance in the bolt decreases 
Am sure there is an app somewhere. Some kinda chrony app which works off sound. Bang-- Shot 1. Bang - Shot 2 As they say. There an app for that.

Between concentrating on breathing and form I don't have a clue how many I've put thru the barrel. Definitely a difference in feel when I load a blank but then it's too late. Shooting paper it's no big deal but when after game I fill all mags and start with a full one and since the cricket holds 14 I haven't had a problem with the scarce game in my area.

I guess if I didn't put so many through the same hole it would be easier to keep count. Yeah, right. Like I can ever do that.

That's why I love the electronic DayState rifles, they can be configured to notify you when you are on the last shot.

Nothing pisses me off more than pulling out a magazine from my wildcat to see one pellet left. And you can't leave a full mag in it without chambering a round and deco king which I don't recommend doing.
