Customer gun. 5 years old. He couldn't belive that I found this and and why I couldn't finish the tune. Blamed me somehow. This is why customer tunes are so stressful.

That's an awesome idea but not feasible for the masses. That's what I'm looking in to now to help with air quality used but also speed of refill due to the amount of work in doing. Filing guns from a compressor or waiting for a small bottle to fill is a huge issue getting work out of the shop.

That amount doesn't happen overnight. Guessing this is from a humid southern area and the compressor doesn't get bled often enough.

YUCK , thanks for the pictures .
Really did not shoot much till the last 16 months or so and now have a compressor with large filter in line .
But this is the reason i asked about shooting a pumper or springer in very humid weather .

Partially salvageable. The valve was rusted to the tube and the amount of heat and leverage needed to break it loose damaged the valve a little. Not sure how bad the tube pitting is but it could affect the safety of high pressure. I'll end up finding new parts to rebuild it to be safe.

I guess its a good idea to tear down & clean atleast once a yr? I found simular crud (though no where near as bad) after only a yr using mostly a hand pump.

Humid - In the southern summers, when it feels like you just got slapped in the face with wet towel when you walk outside! Thats my definition of humid.

The internal gunk I witnessed, caused by moisture, was green and slimy, guess it would eventually have changed to rust color. Thanks for posting, nice reminder for everyone, pumping moisture into any PCP, entry level to top shelf, is a bad idea. WM

Makes me glad I have a scuba shop fairly close. Clean breathable air at 11 bucks a fill.
