Why does my Parallax not Focus on FFP AZTEC Emerald

I got my first FFP scope. ...at 35 yards the focus is OK, When I put the parallax wheel to 50 yards my target becomes blurry, I can focus it but the parallax wheel will be about 20 yards off the 50 yard mark, ..same deal with 75 yards. There is no fine eye adjustment on the eye end of the scope as in some scopes.

Am I missing something? Maybe there is no parallax with FFP scopes, and I'm supposed to just focus the picture and ignore the wheel markings for yardage? Maybe they put the wheel on wrong on my $600 scope? or the scope needs to be replaced?

I love this retical and I don't want to give it up, but I can't have this weird wheel stuff going on. That scope and the HP .177 Red Wolf is a awesome combination...if the scope worked. Great scope for that gun!

Thanks in advance for your help! -Nate

I wouldn't count on the yardage markings being true. Some scopes don't have the markings and only show progressing bars in various thickness and you're supposed to adjust it until the image is clear with no parallax. The side focus ring might need to be reset to the correct distance which you would have to verify with a range finder. Ask for an exchange or a refund.

I have the same scope, maybe you need to adjust the ocular lens? Then go about checking the yardage settings via the SF? I concur about that reticle. The 2 MOA spacing on the Christmas tree makes for repeatable hits in the wind. The illumination is nice and bright, no blooming. I’ve been using mine for close to two years. Hundreds of kills and thousands of pellets down range. I have it on my Compatto and a Helos BTR on my Bantam. I dial more with the Helos... the Aztec I mostly use hold overs. Turrets not as stout as the Helos’.
