Why do you shoot? - Satisfaction!

I enjoy the calming influence, the world fades and it's all about paying attention on the micro level. Zone out it's just you, weather and rifle.

Before I was burglarized and started staying home as much as possible, I got all that from fishing.

Now, pesting in my backyard and the pursuit to always make precise, clean kills on pests is my being.

I feel satisfied when I shoot whether it's paper, cans, bells, a knot on a limb. Each time it's can I hit it? I want to be able to fire one shot and take a squirrell, rabbit, starling, crow, raccoon. It's a challenge, I seldom shoot off of a bench. If I'm lucky I can kneel or rest on a branch of a bush. So each shot is a challenge to me to be good enough to hit what I aim at.
