Hello everyone I am Alin, just got me a brand new membership here.
I used to have a daisy with the pump handle. I used to shoot BB's and rarely pellets at paper plates or foam plates. Eventually the piston gave up and I threw it away after fixing it once. Anyway I was looking for a replacement and I have been immersed in all kinds of AIR Rifles reviews and so forth. But the prices of having a PCP are pretty prohibitive, and the main question is, why choose an air rifle over a firearm?
I could not find that advantage, do we save money on pellets or is it the fact that more countries and states allow air rifles and not fire arms? so that was the main question. Why choose an air rifle which is much more expensive than a firearm?
So far have set my sights on the Benjamin Marauder or Benjamin armada the price for the two make them very attractive compared with other much more expensive ones - I will probably shoot occasionally in the back yard at cans an paper plates. I am looking at the .25 calibers I am not interested in the lower caliber, because I am hoping one of these days I will actually get going hunting, maybe, or if I ever need to kill a thing, then I wanted to be quick, less pain. I want an air rifle more for the skill and shooting at targets. So basically If I want to get one of these guns I need to fill them up with air, that 4500 PSI compressor is $1700. So it is quite an expense to get into the sport. I don't think a manual pump can fill either of the guns that I hoping to get in the near future.
My wishlist setup would be: the Armada basic .25 caliber with a ~ $800 scope and the compressor, if not the compressor at least the fiber carbon air bottle 4500 psi, I feel the pump would be an intermediary expense, and not really capable of filling the rifle to 3000 PSI.
Thank you.
