Who's your go-to slug?

It has been the NSA 24.8 grain .218 for several years now in two different rifles. An FX Crown and an FX Impact. Now though, with a new Panthera that I am tuning it seems that the H&N 30 grain HPII in .217 is the winner. The Zan 33 grain .217 is also very very good in this Panthera; utilizing the exact same tune as the H&N slugs.

NSA....pretty much the only slugs that I can order that fit mines barrel and Nick's tolerances for size & weight are incredible and shoot with amazing consistent accuracy thru my RAW .22.

Can’t vote. All my slug guns shoot a different slug from all the manufacturers except Altaros. I haven’t tried them. If I did spend some time with them I might be able to vote “all of the above”.

Zan was always a favourite of mine. Too many variables lately.
NSA, good but expensive where I live.
Day to day, JSB knockout are the best accuracy and value for me.

H&N 23 grain slug. It shoots so accurate in my Wildcat mk3 sniper. For expansion it may be not the best slug, but their price is great

In my airguns, which are all FX, JSB and NSA are a tie. JSB .25.39's MKII's are lights out and JSB MKII's in 33.49 are as well. I have also had great success in a Maverick Sniper .22cal with NSA 20.3's in .217. I almost forgot in Maverick Sniper 25cal NSA 29.5's between 980-1000 are very impressive as well. I just got a Avenger-X in .22cal so doing testing on it right now with slugs. Trying out a NSA .216 17.5 grain this weekend for the Avenger-X as the .217's in 17.5 were a definite no go as well as the 20.3's in .217. The reason I'm trying the 17.5's is so that I don't have to increase the reg pressure from 2100psi. Reason being is that it shoots JSB 18.13's and JTS 22.07 grain pellets so well I hate to change.
Anyhow I think NSA makes a slug for just about every airgun out there.

I got those to shoot accurately as well in my Maverick Sniper in .217. For some reason the 21 grain .217 didn't group well. Not sure why.

NSA, but I'm shifting toward Griffin Airgun Ammo slugs. It's a toss up between the two depending upon what I'm shooting that day.

it depend on which airgun am grabbing and caliber. For my primary impact .22 slugger it's the H&N 30 grain. For the .22 compact impact it's 17.5 NSA to JSB/Hybrid/H&N in 23 grain with minor POI ajustment. it love anything in 23 grian.
I grab what every slug the airgun love... I have alot of pllet and slug for .22, .30, and .35 caliber. All thanks to the ammo shortage during covid.

NSA .25 cal 36.2gr. has been a long time favorite of mine for taking prairie dogs out at 200 yards.
Lately the .25 cal H&N 40gr heavy has been doing an awesome job on prairie dogs.

The truth is that every slug on that list is excellent. You just have to find the one that your gun likes most.

I’ve tried all of those and none of them shot to my satisfaction. FX Hybrids came closest to being useful.
