Hello,
I received a lead brick from one range officer for free when I mentioned I am planning to make one.
I wanted to use one as bullet and pellet backstop.
I have now shot it with my .25 Wildcat with 25 grainers and with PCP .17 pistol from the distance of approx. 25 meters.
Below you see the .25m grouping (free hand) and two .17 pistol hits on the left side.
No lead spray found on the ground. The target cardboard had very slight spray on it.
This is probably thick enough for my 22LR and ..maybe even 17HMR? It will be interesting to see the splash for sure
This is the side view so you can see the craters better.
It looks to perform magnificently..Catching nearly 99% of lead (minimal spray). It has some splashy sound to it but no ping to it, certainly. It sounds like hammer hitting a nail on wet wood maybe?
I added a video of my relative testing the Wildcat.
Only negative side to it is the weight. It takes some lifting to get it in place. I was worried if my car floor will hold under the weight..
