Who shoots Polymag pellets, or wants to, can't because they don't fit the mag?

I'm making up some parts so I can put polymags in my S510, Streamline and Impact because hand feeding the beast one at a time isn't fun.

Seems like they would be a great hunting round. I see some peeps saying they make a good general purpose round too.

Who likes these pellets? And who doesn't shoot them because they won't fit the magazine?

I almost don't use PolyMags anymore, as I don't have a rifle which shoots them well. My 397 does (RedFire, same pellet but smaller) well with them out to about 25 yards. My .25 caliber Marauder shoots them like a shotgun, as does my WAR in .25 caliber. I could easily in the latter cases, as they do fit the magazines in both guns.

You know. I kinda love me some H&N Hornets. They are similar in "problematic" as the polymags. I figuere, I will load them by hand if I think I need to use them. I only have a Cricket Mini at the moment. I intend on building a single shot loader that can accommodate these types of rounds when I need them. I see them as a hunting round, when good penetration is needed. The Hornets hit at zero for me, same as my JSB 16s. I hope to be able to take a small piglet one of these days with one of them. If/when I figure something out, I will post it.

TJ Barrels don't seem to like them. Thus the reason the WAR guns have some issues. What I've found with my .30 Flex is that it shoots them great out to 100 yards if I keep the muzzle velocity around 850fps or below. Above that, they have a tendency to tumble. Which they also seem to over-expand (ie explode into shrapnel) when fired at 900fps and faster. At 850fps at the muzzle they make a nice mushroom at 60 yards and at 100 yards they'll still shoot thru 3/4" pine. If you have a gun that doesn't like them, try slowing them down.

That being said, my .25 Mrod loves them at any speed, and I've had 3 different factory barrels on my Mrod over the years.

The .25 Polymags fit my Marauder magazine fine. The .30 Polymags do not fit my early production Flex mag but do fit my later production Flex mag.

"peterdulux"Take the yellow face plate off the AA mag and machine a groove for the pellet to ride inside.

Doesn't take much machining. Grab 10 or so polymags and measure to find the longest and use that measurement.

I did it and can fit Metalmags in mine.

Can do the same for the FX mags.

Did both.
Yup, pretty much. But can't do onesie twosie for others, so I'm making some covers for peeps who want.
