Who shoot slug in the Veteran .22?

Hello all-

I will be mostly shooting jsb pellets, but I do would like to try to slugs too. Who know maybe a target will shows itself at 100y some of these day. So what slugs weight and size are you shooting with your .22 Veteran and at what speed is most accurate. My Veteran come with the CZ barrel. I read Jacob thread he having a good success with his with 17.5 NSA, but his have the LW barrel though.

Also will I need a plenum or double plenum and or heavier spring to achieve certain speed? What do you guys modded your to shoot slug?

thanks in advance!!!

If your gun is a standard don’t waste your time with the extra plenum. You don’t have enough barrel to make use of it. I shot slugs out of mine for a year before putting it back to a pellet gun. I had my reg turned up to 140b and a heavy spring. Sized the slugs to .217 and it was super accurate but couldn’t get more than 850fps even with the plenum extension. With where the gun was set for the 22gr slugs, I couldn’t jump back and forth to pellets. For the longevity of the gun because I really like it, pellets won.
