That's lead or GTO residue viewed through borescope of factory 48 TP.

Cleaning up.
Still have A LOT of work to do.
Blew it right out of its skirt.
Loaded a CPHP & a GTO, not sure what order as I had obviously forgotten about it when I went back down stairs after decocking and leaving.
First shot let me know what I did. I'm lucky and it's still shooting super strong

I'm basically documenting the bore lapping process in line with Michael's post on the subject. I do it a bit different by feel & instrumentation, inspection of pellets pushed through. Not like I have a air gauge or anything but it's pretty obvious how much a factory barrel can be improved.
I prefer RWS 12 L&G and the 8 is good, but these aren't custom Hart, Benchmark or Lilja, Pac Nor, etc.
A Douglas barreled 48 lol. Talk about overkill but the finishing process definitely will reduce time between cleaning at the very least.
