Any favorites in these events?

  • 100y Benchrest
  • Speed Knockdown
  • Big Bore slugs
  • Small Bore slugs
  • PRS

98% sure it will be Todd Blanchard in the 100 Benchrest. Not only is he an incredible shooter under pressure (20K worth of paper 100 yds away can sure make you shoot different!) I have heard that he has a new high tech wind reading system that he has been working on.

This being said, good luck to all the shooters, No matter who wins the money. the experience, people met and friends made are the things that are priceless.

I can see "Centercut" smiling with a pocket full of that cash right now. You know he has been slinging lead in all conditions getting ready. My favorite to win . lol

Centercut is going to win at 100y

Yikes!!! No pressure. I’ll say I’d like to finish in the top 5. Thanks guys. Top 5 or 6 is the shooter and the gun. First Place requires those two and a dash of luck 🍀

Top 3 at 100 my guess - Steve Montgomery (Team Centercut), Nicolay Boldov or Jayson Barnes.

Speed - John Bagakis, Tom Adams or Derrick Wall (Team Centercut). I’d like to make the Finals.

NRL-22 Pellet. - Thayne Simmons or John Tafoya

NRL-22 Slug - Justin Welch.

Big Bore Slug. - Dunno. Minor event.

I won't be surprised if you're very correct.

I've seen Steve shoot and there aren't many more talented than him....stick something as capable as that Thomas HPX in his hands.....well, he could just sure win it.

I've also been following Nicolay here and on Insta. He's got that RW with whatever special barrel he put on there just humming along at state of very high performance, another talented shooter.

And you don't know Jayson but if you've seen him shoot you'd think the same as you do of Steve.

Nicolay bought five of those special barrel and tested them all and kept the best performing one with pellets. I asked about the other four and he told me $1500 each one if anyone wanted one. Good shooters plus the best equipment money can buy gets you a lot closer to the podium.

Still gotta read that swirling wind though! That's why at 100 yards there's always that element of luck involved. Unless they have absolutely freaky calm weather in the canyon where the range is in Utah, we won't be seeing any 238s or 244s, not even close... My guess is the winning score will be under 230.
