It is not only the liner which are different. The brass peace on the end also has to be caliber spesific. Also like mentioned before, the rifling are pressed from outside the liner, and somehow "dent" the inside of it. Had the walls been to thick on smaller calibers, the inside of the liner would still be a smoothbore with no rifling, as the pressing machine would not be able to press true the walls.

Sorry you have lost me there? I was not criticizing, in fact I have (had) 7 Redwolfs and 4 Impacts, I currently own 2 Impacts and 2 Crowns and 2 Redwolfs, awaiting another.

And now I’m jealous....just have my streamline walnut 22 and edgun r5m long 25 blue laminate. If the brass stayed in the gun and a the Barrel threaded in and was rimmed for a consistent stopping point I think diameter could be reduced for crimping for the rest of the length of the liner. Rifling could be started 1.5in into the bore. Now I wonder how the continuum is set up....
