I am interested in getting back into shooting after years of abstinence and have rightly or wrongly gravitated to the HW95/Beeman R9. I like the look of the longer stock of the Luxus, but would be grateful of any advice from those more knowledgeable as to the different versions out there from the big sellers. For example the R9 Elite Combo from PA has a Mantis 4-12 X 40 scope and retains the original open sights, while the comparable HW95L Field Pro is $50 more from AoA and comes with a Weihrauch branded 3-9 X 40 scope and a muzzle weight but not the open sights. Which in your view is the best buy? I would also be interested in buying a pre-owned rifle but at the moment I can't post in the classifield section as a newbie. Anyone have a Hw95/Beeman R9 they are thinking of parting with?

If less $$ without the scope i would advise that , but either rifle is good , HW95 L has the great reputation as Quality , i don't know about R9 but hear good things here .

Thank you for the response, the least expensive new I've seen online is from Krale, which including shipping is about $50 less than PA, so $100 less than AoA but no scope (it does have the open sights) and has the short stock.

I have a .20 Luxus and love the stock. Definitely worth the extra couple bucks in my opinion
