Which tank should I buy ...

Time to buy a new tank ... My last tank was a Joe B. Great White, which served me well ... I'm a little reluctant to buy another tank from Joe B. due to the abrasive personality and my inability to understand his web site hidden pricing of a new tank ... How do the large Omega tanks compare in quality etc. and which tank would y'all recommend for my next tank ...

Omega tanks are great. I think they have the best hose and the best valve and pressure release valve. I have the 75 cubic foot. Guys at our club have Joe B's and the valves feel sloppy to me and the hoses are marginal.

I never liked his website because you couldn't figure out the exact price or configuration unless you talked with him.

I’d buy a used SCBA tank that has 4 or 5 years service life left. Like this one.

So for about $250, including the cost of a 5 year hydro you’ve got a nice 88 cu ft SCBA tank and fill rig. Good to go.

+1 for used scuba tanks. I bought one myself. Or save the money all together and get a compressor to refill the tank you already have.

I've owned and used just about every tank size and brand available over the years. I've owned Airhogs, Joe B. Tiger Sharks, used SCBA 30 minute tanks, new Acecare 3 liter tanks from China, etc. My favorite is the Omega tank,valve, and hose.. I prefer its push button air bleed, the extended length quick fill that connects to FXs without an adapter, and most of all the flexible braided 3' fill hose. The hose is highest quality and can be tied in knots without damage. The flexibility and durability of this hose is the best I've ever used. The only thing this Omega doesn't include is a tank pressure gauge. A dead head plug is needed as an alternative to read tank pressure.

I bought two SCBA 44 cu ft tanks for $200 each and only 3 years of use. I have been using them every since and filling them myself. Great tanks.

Joe b website is terrible...I sent an email yesterday with exactly what I wanted...how long and with what on each end...got an email back with him re writing this is what you want and he got it wrong so I'd be afraid to order it from him now

Utah airguns sell the same tanks as joe b. If you want the same tank. The only advantage to those tanks is it comes with everything and It has a slow fill for the air your air gun. So it doesn't heat up your air tank on the gun as much.

Since I am a diver, I use my scuba tanks. It takes so very little air to fill a PCP. It is less than one breath of air.
