If I get a chance to get RAW, which stock should I get, walnut, foest green laminate or buckskin laminate?

i ordered the forest green. i woudnt have settled for any other coulor.
oh and i got the lrt stock on mine too.
so what can and specs have u decdied upon?

I am torn between buckskin and forest Green.
my specs are .25 with regular grooved barrel optimisedfor 25 gr jsb at 950 fps

The TN Black Walnut Martin uses is top shelf, or, he ( we all ) wait for the next Walnut batch available.
Laminate is a bout 1lb heavier if that matter.
Design would be my first concern and the LRT suits me very well tho I also like the thumb-up thumb-hole stocks a lot. Unless your a BR type.

For the life of me I can't understand why anyone wouldn't get the red laminate. MUCH superior to the green or brown.

I agree the LRT stock is great...not only is it adjustable, but it is ambidextrous. It gives me perfect fit / control and also my right handed family and friends. I got a beautiful walnut stock that saved me some weight. But the laminate is beautiful too and resist warping. Gun stocks are a lot like women, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

The Buckskin is pretty cool, I ordered my HM1000x .357 with a Custom Blue/Charcoal Laminate Thumbhole Stock. I think Martin has a extra Red Laminated LRT stock for sale for 350 or around there last time I looked on Facebook but it's been a week or so.

None, weight of 10,4 lbs is excesive. RAW should manufacture bullpups or semibullpus like Wildcat or Vulcan Tactic of less than 7,5 lbs.

This is strictly a personal thing. I don't prefer plywood and would rather have a walnut stock. It's lighter and more attractive in my old, failing eyes.

Ha, "plywood". You have a point there!! I can't help it though. I love the blue/wine laminate. Got one in Thumb Hole and one in Bench Rest.

I just about ordered the same one but found out as I talked with Sandra he had a special order custom Blue in his pile that wasn't listed and I opted for that for a few more dollars..

I ordered my HM1000X last week and I was leaning toward the Walnut. I had asked about up-grade for better figured wood and Martin said that he had no figuring that he could justify charging extra for. You got to appreciate the honesty.
That said I chose the Grey thumbhole stock .

It's always just the same TN Black Walnut - no "select" "grade # " .... - but it is good Walnut or we all wait for a different batch and that takes a good long while ( in airgun days ).
