Which slug for the .25cal standard Superior Liner

According to FX USA's website:

The Superior Liners set recent performance and innovation benchmarks for FX and the entire airgun industry. Superior Liners are fitted on all production model rifles and barrel kits. These liners are designed to shoot standard weight pellets, lightweight slugs from other manufactures, and Hybrid Slugs with maximum accuracy.

I don't want to buy the Superior Heavy Liner, but I wouldn't mind shooting slugs once in a while. Between FX, NSA and RS, which one shoots the best out of the standard liner?

Pls don't take this wrong......but a perspective that doesn't get shared very option because there are so many great resources on this forum.......I had the same question three months ago. There are literally dozens and dozens of posts on the forum providng great data on this exact question. I understand the first thought is to ask, but what I'm seeing on these recent posts, is a lack of responses, likely because the information is there. Guys like Stoti and Centercut, have previously provided what they've learned, thru shooting thousands of slugs, while testing many different barrel combinations, on many different posts, in detail. With the tuning information that they have developed. It's a complex puzzle, that gets put together thru research. I've learned a ton, looking and searching thru historical data on the forum, more than can ever shared on a question asked on a single post.

Would like to know what you learned a ton about for the best slugs for the .25 STX Superior liner. Just a concise statement will work. Thanks!

Theres a thousand of these threads, that's what his point is and I don't think he's wrong.

For example, found in one minute.

I too have grown weary of responding to the same questions asked over and over by people who don’t want to do research. This applies across all sub forums. I understand where Chapjl is coming from. I just started ignoring the questions but sometimes take a peek to see if someone says the almost frowned upon thing that Chapjl said. But it’s the truth. The info is out there but some people like shortcuts.

I have shared what I’ve learned, in a concise statement, a week ago answering another post with same question. There was only one or two replies to that thread. Which is why I wrote what I wrote, if folks don’t use the search function, they are missing out on a ton of data that has been shared a number of times. This is an amazing site to learn from.

BTW, the OP is asking about a standard liner, not a Superior liner...

Look at the title of the thread....the superior is the standard liner at this point in time.

Is he talking about the old standard liner? (Pellet A) No.

"I don't want to buy the Superior Heavy Liner, but I wouldn't mind shooting slugs once in a while. Between FX, NSA and RS, which one shoots the best out of the standard liner?"

I am not sure at this point. He said standard liner. I took it as just that. I could have misunderstood the question.

I am done here with making my point. I just hope the OP finds someone willing to help. I shoot cast slugs, so I could not help him myself. I was curious about answers he may have received from others. I wished that I could have helped more.

He means the standard superior as opposed to the superior heavy, it's not complex. Anyways I helped by linking a thread asking the exact same question. In that thread I linked JoeKool also links a thread of his with some testing as well of a .25 superior liner (not the superior heavy) Pretty sure there's other threads since then that Joe has made with plenty of work put in and worth finding.

I understand peoples hesitancy to use the search but it actually works now. A person could just type in ".25 superior slug" into the search and search all forums and plenty pops up, it used to be very frustrating but works well now IMO. Or search threads made by Joekool.

Thanks for the updated search tip, Glem. I wasn't trying to make anything complex and was disappointed with your use of the term, but I don't dwell on such things. The OP would have been better served having used the correct FX liner terms for clarity. Like Supreme liner, or STX liner, or Supreme Heavy liner. I'll chalk this one up as my error, but in my defense, many called the STX a "standard liner" for a long time. Again, my error.

I will add to the OP's question that I did find the AVS (Air Velocity Sport) slugs did please me when trying them in my 600mm Superior liner.

No worries brother. Just to clarify the new liners are the superior and superior heavy. The "standard" (default, stock, comes with a new gun) are the superior liners since the superior liners came out.

STX is the liner system

The impact x and early MK2 came with the "standard" liner being the Pellet A liner. All the liners are STX that's just the name of the system of barrel liners.

There as of yet is no "supreme" liner.
