Which pellets for impact x in 22 cal

Hi guys 

It won’t be long before I order a 22 cal kit for my Impact and I wanted to hear from you guys, which pellets works best in the impact x?

i will only be using it for target shooting and plinking, no hunting.

so in short what pellets should I get and what velocity should I aim for?

In my FX Impact X I use the JSB Redesigned 25.4 grain .22 cal pellets at 845-860 FPS. These are extremely accurate at 40-50 yards. They open up a bit beyond that.

When I want laser accuracy, I use JSB 18.1 grain .22 cal pellets at 890-925 FPS. These produce one hole--0.50 in. C to C.

I suspect though, you will have to experiment with your particular rifle to find what works best for your barrel. I have no doubt that you will enjoy this task(?).

i can’t get the redesign in 22 around here yet, but don’t you think the mk1 will work? I’ll try both the 18.1 and the 25.4 grains and see how they performs in the gun.

i tried the re-design in 177 and the impact didn’t like them, big groups and lots of flyers.

But I am looking forward to try the Impact in 22 cal, it’s going to a little easier, wenn it’s really windy

Good luck with the JSB 25.4 gr. MkI.

I could never get them to group at 50 yards. After inquiring on this forum about the instability of MKIs at 50 yards and beyond, I was informed that this was a common problem with this pellet. This instability issue with the JSB MKI 25.4 grain prompted the development of the MKIIs.

Okay, I’ll try to get my hands on some of the re-design pellets. Will lighter pellets like JSB 14.3 grain or are they to light?

Sorry I can not comment on the 14.3 grain pellets in .22 cal, having never used them. Have fun experimenting. That is the essence of this hobby.
