You have an extremely hard choice on your hands lol

I just ordered a WARP COBRA in .22 with a .30 barrel kit 10 days ago. Jim said I should have it in about 2-3 weeks. Mines for hunting though and I wanted a tensioned barrel system and compact ~40" fully extended. Very very solid guns. Owned one in .25 a year back which I sold cause I didn't shoot it much as I used to hand pump. With the recent upgrades think there going to be hard to beat and I now have a tank and compressor lol. Flex have longer barrels and a 500cc 4500psi bottle vs the WARP with 350cc 4500psi bottle. Regulated will add $300 which is comparable price to an LRT RAW. My choice if you like the AR platform and feel.

RAW absolutely solid built guns. Very accurate and beautiful. Really liked mine but for hunting was just too long and heavy for what I wanted. For plinking would be great though! Plenty of choices of wood and laminate wood and style of stocks also. Wait time is 12+ weeks I believe at the moment but can't say there not worth the wait! My choice if you like a more traditional rifle feel.

AAA only one I haven't owned. Would love to try one but very little information out on them. I believe only ones available to order are the AR style EVOL at the moment if that suits your fancy. Website says 8-12 weeks build time but don't know for sure. A call to them it might be shorter as they opened up a new larger shop to cut down on the times.

I say EVOL so then you can give first hand info on it to all of us LOL jk

In all honesty I think you can't go wrong with any of them. I believe all will perform excellent for your use and it all boils down to personal preference like looks, attributes, performance, etc.

"aa_limited"get your rifle with a thimble? ever hear of the thimble and barrel indexing doge3500?

get you raw to be a bm500 but with the lrt stock
thats what i did when i got my raw..

my raw bm500 .177 blows away all air guns ive ever used at any range. for accuracy
and its only 177! cal.
i ordered mine with both poly and lw barrels.
what is a thimble never heard of one?
thanks

I'd say the Flex for this reason... you're going to get more shots than with the other guns for a given power level which is a plus for plinking. This is due to the combination of the Cobra valve (which has no hammer bounce), the larger air tank that fills to a higher pressure, and the externally adjustable Cobra regulator. You can also add different AR stocks. And you can always change your caliber if you get bored with it and run the gun as weak or as strong as you want up to the low 100s fpe.

Whats the shot count at 870 fps with 44gr??

I just took delivery of a WAR Flex with a 20” .25 barrel, 20” .30 barre and an shorty 16”.22 barrel. I’ve only shot the .22 and .25 cal barrels but so far I am beyond impressed. Both barrels shoot legitimate single hole groups with boring regularity on my 35 yard range. The build quality is phenomenal. The .25 is a little loud but still backyard friendly considering it’s tuned to shoot a 33.95 gr JSB at 915 fps. The 22 cal is compact and very quiet.

The WAR flex isn’t the most beautiful of rifles but it is something you could put to hard use for a lifetime. Every o-ring and fastener is available at your local hardware store. Everything is very very intuitive and easy to maintain.

I replaced the buttstock on mine with a fully adjustable MDT skeleton stock. So far I love everything about the rifle. Some don’t like them because of how they look but I buy air rifles to use and not admire.

Jim Gaska is a top notch guy and very helpful and honest. This made buying a $2000+ air gun a pleasure. I like the fact that the WAR airguns have the ultimate in flexibility and adjustability. You can literally have a quiet .22 carbine one minute and a monster .308 slug shooter 5 minutes later.

To put put this into context, I also own a Daystate wolverine b in .22, a mutant .22 and several nice Air arms spring guns. I see the Flex as becoming my go to gun. I recommend wholeheartedly.

Most of my gun uses the first production run parts. Even so, I get just under 60 shots at 74 fpe, which is pushing the 44grs in the mid 860s. That’s approximately 30 psi per shot on the 3600psi, 475cc bottle. The new bottles are 500cc and fill to 4500psi. I’m also using a 17 inch barrel as opposed to the new 20 inch barrels. So a new gun with the upgraded should increase both power and efficency.
