I want to buy a 135, but cannot decide which caliber, .25 or .30, mainly for fun and some hunting. I will NOT be using this gun much past 25 yards. The pellet cost is not a big factor, as I have access to a nice .22 break barrel (my brother’s, also used for longer ranges), and I cannot shoot a lot anyway. I very much like the idea of a .30 break barrel, just wondering if, at 25 yards, does the .25 offer any advantages in terms of hunting, and what game can I hunt with the .30 that I cannot with the .25? Thank you!

I have the carnivore .30 springer, it is a fun airgun. Mine likes the 50 grain JSB, and I don’t have trouble plinking out to 50 yds with it. It really clangs the 2 inch gongs I have out for the air rifles. The .30 has a high effort to cock it though I must admit. Everyone that has shot it, likes it though. It is big, heavy and slow, but don’t let that deter you if you want to try out a 30 cal springer. I have 2 hatsans, I am pleased with the accuracy for both (other is a .22 Dominator). Be sure to get a mildot scope for it though...
