Looking to buy my first chronograph and am completely confused as to what to buy. My initial use will be a check the velocity of my air guns and powder burners. My criteria are: reliable, easy to setup and use, accurate, and repeatable recording of shots. Price is flexible, up to and including a Garmin. I’d appreciate your suggestions. Tom

I consider the Garmin and Athlon hardware to be almost the same. Check out their apps and see which you prefer. The price difference is a thing, too.

I have the Garmin. If the Athlon was available at time, I would have purchased it in stead of the Garmin.

I have tried most and i think the best most useful would be the set next to your gun radar type . although i would buy the all in one style (with a screen) not the info on your phone ones , I'm not an extra gadget guy . If i am out at a range my phone / wallet /keys are in the car not at the bench .
