Which caliber has the greatest # of commercially available slugs?

Trying to pick a big bore PCP for up to coyote size, and slug availability is a factor, as I don’t want to cast my own.

I would think .45 and .50 cal would give you the most options. Black powder is pretty popular right now and the ammo choices are numerous. You can find stuff from roundball to minies to specialty sabot rounds.

Small bore, go with the .22. Bigbore .357 has more choices of weights different power availability of different guns, in my opinion.

I wouldn’t worry too much about how many different slugs are available . I’d go .25 cal because of power requirements for coyote . NSA, VK and Rat sniper slugs have all kinds of weights available which should make just about any head spin . I’d stick to something close to 90 FPE in .25 and get a few sample packets . Find the most accurate and buy a ton of them . 



I enjoy casting , and never run out of ammo . Not to mention I save a pile on shipping .
