I have been tinkering with the idea of setting up one of my current rifles for WFTF PCP.
I am curious what others are shooting?
Yes I have looked at GP and worlds and such equipment but im interested in everyone else.
What do you shoot thats 12fpe for field target?
Looking for rifles that are NOT Thomas, XTi50, Styer etc..
What do the non traveling shooters shoot?

AA S500FT in a Aeron chass also have an Anschutz 8002 prepped by AZ And a RW tuned for <12 on the low power setting

Alas, only two sub 12’s remain in my stable
AA S500 HFT and a TM1000 pistol in .20.
considering selling the S500 as I’m not manly enough to shoot <12 at 55 yards

i've actually toyed with the idea of cutting it down and converting into a pistol - i know i know.... sick idea... but @Motorhead has made some sick stuff like that.

I have the original relic: Thomas FT Carbine #001 & a suped up #293 (tank gauge, fancy valve), 001 is running at 12 fpe, 293 is pushing 20 fpe.

I don't compete, but I tuned my HW100 carbine down to 11.5 fpe, and it's a delight, extremely accurate and great shot count.

I’m not competing yet and I don’t have a field target gun. I’m shooting my Anschutz 8002 at scaled down 10 meter distance targets for practice. It’s very satisfying but I want to get a gun for HFT. This thread is about < 12 FPE guns I believe. What’s the deal with <20 FPE guns? Is that what I need for shooting here in the US. I really don’t ever see myself shooting full blown FT. The stool and sticks are fine with me. Any ideas and advice would be welcomed.

<12 is WFTF. <20 is everything else. In a nutshell.

20 fpe is max for hunter field target in the usa. more energy than that damages targets. $$$.
wftf is the international field target world and thus <12 fpe as thats the airgun limit for most countries.
you could have the anschutz bumped to 20 fpe but i don;' recommend it past 16 fpe. also a pricey endeavor.
the crosman HFT challenger from @Airgun-Revisions is a great start or the daystate revere from AOA, either in .177 cal. are solid contenders. if you can find used.. sometimes all the better. come down to mobile al and i'll let ya try all 18 hft rigs i have on hand for new shooters.
