Where & when is the best place & time to purchase a LabRadar?

$560.00 for a chrony? Holy moly. I would rather set up the diffuser and light bulb. Lol. Nice machine though.
Edit: wow that chrony is amazing! Measures downrange velocities and fpe all at the same time.
looks like they set the price at $559.95 and dont allow retailers to change that. Just like Bose speakers. Every site has the exact same price.

IMO the primary advantage is seeing the ballistic coefficient (BC) at different ranges. You can use 2 chronographs by setting one up at the muzzle & the other downrange... but that has its limitations.

I had one and just sold it. It is a bitch to line up to the target and wont read consistent . It measures off of the back of the bullet so it wont read 223 very good. To measure pellets you have to buy an adapter. Also be sure to buy an additional battery pack as the battery's don't last long.

I bought the light system for my old Chrono and it works great I even shoot in the dark and it works. Best part it only cost about $85.00.

Michael, I have had my Labradar for 2 1/2 yrs and I use it almost every day.
I have done about everything I ever wanted a chronograph to do.
I run it on Doppler setting and it never misses a beat. Though I have found one .177 pellet with a skirt it doesn't like but then even as a young man I recall being turned off by a few!

It is very easy to line up precisely by putting a cheap ballpoint pen, without the ink cartridge, in the sighting "V" and sighting through the hole. Any small tube will do the same.
It will track .25 Kings to 80 or 90 yards, .22s to 70 and .177s to 60 sometimes more. I never bother with the sound mic pickup now, just use the Doppler trigger.

Sky screens and light setups are history around here as is replacing shot chronys!
For the cost of a fairly decent scope it is the best money I have ever spent on my airgun hobby.

I can even tune my rifles to the pellets using the data I collect - might explain that some time along with how to clearly track pellets SM from a few yards ALL the way to the target.
Just put out the money and forget ever having to buy another chrony - but then not every shooter has a use for doing the things I entertain myself doing.
PS: I have a Comsol 1-2.1 A 15000 ma model SP 150 DP booster battery which will run it all day and still recharge this tablet on the run.
Best regards, Harry
