Where can one buy a 1/8” BSPP male foster with male threads? Don’t want the ones with a check valve. I can only find the female threaded fittings.

I’ve got one and darned if I can remove the check? It’s got a flat head, in the threaded end, and I have turned it both directions and it just spins. Is it pressed in?

Like Mike is saying, it probably has a thru-drilled grub screw capturing the check valve. Somehow or another it is removable...check valves have seals, seals fail, so the check valve has to be accessible to replace the seal.

When I glanced I saw a male foster with female BSPP threads, so I figured they might have one with male threads if he called and asked. I didn’t do a thorough search.

Well, I could be wrong. I had a conversation once with Gene about how I really liked bspp….and he didn’t like them
at all. I guess I just assumed they stayed away from them.

Huma air has one too. Has an oring and a screw inside to control airflow in either direction if desired. I’m positive it can be removed completely.

The check valve that just spins can simply be pushed out from the other side, it’s only held by pressure and the o-ring.

PA sells a double male BSPP that you could use with the foster that has the female BSPP. IT’s only $2.99 but it’s going to be longer than just a foster x male BSPP once assembled. You will need the little delrin gaskets on each side, they’re $5 each (rip off).
Or, you can buy a Air Venturi Compact Inline Filter. It has a male foster with 1/8BSPP male on it. I know, I have one and unscrewed it to see. It will have the delrin gasket in it but it way not come out once it’s crushed to make the seal when it was assembled. $30, plus maybe a delrin gasket ($5). But it will give you the fitting you need.
I like to use the minimum amount of fittings. Fewer joints, fewer possible leak paths, so personally I would go the AV inline filter route. But of course is up to you and your budget. Who knows, maybe PA can get one from AV since they’re the same ownership.

Here’s photos of AV inline filter male end. Shows gasket down inside. Maybe it can be yanked out by trying to screw a sheet metal screw into it, hopefully it doesn’t spin. Or buy a gasket. Gasket can’t be pushed out from inside of filter because gasket ID and through hole in the housing are the same size.
