Yeah, he's still at FXUSA. I talked with him about 3 weeks ago and when FX called me yesterday the guy I was talking with said Ernest was on the other phone beside him.
When I talked with him about 3 weeks ago he said they were in preparation of trying to get that "Masters" series going. I asked him if he might give us a little peek at the shop in Wilmington ... ya know a little tour of the works there. He said something about the lighting might not be right for a video right now but he would consider it.
Ya know when you set up a new shop like they have down there, you've got to get it up and running as well as train new people to wok on some very complex guns ... so I imagine that his schedule is pretty full right now
I wish nothing but the best for Ernest. But from what ive noticed the FX US operation seems to be managed poorly. Ernest is just one man i think who ever is actually running the NC opereation is way over their abilities. Give Ernest the help thats needed. The GM in NC should be replaced
Air gun techs don't graduate with a degree from college. A new operation, new products, new employees, and varying cultures. It's.Sweden meets the South, with a NJ yankee thrown in. Ernest is probably busier than a one armed paper hanger.
My buddy sent his wild cat to fxusa he talked to Ernst and he said he was swamped with repair work and it would be a good mounth or so .The real problem is FX is a high end pellet gun and needs to do bettbetter quality control and stop shipping out junk. PS I own the wild cat no problems yet other than a breach oring.
A special field like what Earnest is hard to fill. I'm in the same boat, i retired about 2 years ago and was called back to work tile I can find someone to fill my spot.
