Where do you live and do you like it there?

I live in Great Falls, MT. It's winter for 6 months and windy all the time. Like really windy. I am ready for a move. My wife says she likes Michagan mainly because of the kind of properties she is finding for $300-400k. I am willong to spend up to $500k but I don't want wind, I don't want 6 months of winter, and I don't want venomous snakes or gators. We have a lot of rattlesnakes in central Montana. I lost my dog to one in my backyard 2 years ago.

If you don't like a lot of wind and 6 months of snow, you won't like Michigan. In the last 4-5 years Michigan has gone totally socialist and I am afraid airguns are on the menu. It was just a few years ago we got airguns removed from the firearms category, but that may change soon. Michigan weather can be nice at times, and the autumns are gorgeous. Only one rare rattlesnake here and it is small and uncommon. Anyways, I'd recommend doing more research before you move here. Michigan has a very large contingent of people moving out due to high taxes, high gas price, high cost of living and ridiculous politics.

Hello look at Blue Ridge GA current living in the peoples republic of NY but would like to move at some point. Girlfriends health issues have kept us here, but when doing research as where to move that checked off all the boxes. From nicest looking houses, to good size property , great climate and lots of things to do if you are an outdoor person. Had a friend living there and did not want to leave when done visiting her. Hope this helps Eric.

Check out Tennessee. You can squirrel hunt 6 months out of the year. We do have all of the seasons, but the winters are relatively mild.

Legal to hunt with airguns, although I do remember someone bitching about not being able to hunt deer with a .30 caliber ag, AW SHUX!

I'm in middle Tennessee, Metro Nashville to be exact, but there are nice smaller towns all over the state.

We used to have two FT venues within 90 minutes of Nashville, but now we're down to one.

Best of luck wherever you decide to go!

North Florida...Seems like the entire country is moving here...snakes and 'gators are very over rated...misquetos

Other than Hawaii, I do not know of any place without severe winters that does not have lots of venomous snakes. I live in Alabama with:
  1. Low taxes
  2. Mild Winters
  3. Open Carry, Concealed cary without permit
  4. No city can restrict the use of AG use within city limits
  5. We have snakes and Tornadoes, but you can’ be perfect
  6. Great BBQ
  7. Very conservative

How hot do you get in summer? I would love Hawaii but wife wont do it. She loves winter and I hate it.

Northern California Born & Bred ..... Home paid for, life is great.
2 hrs from the Ocean, 1 hr to the Sierra Nevada mountains, 4 hrs from the Redwoods & 4 hrs to Death valley.
More places to see & things to do only limited by ones time and adventurous spirit.
Air guns legal and LOTS of uncluttered lands. It's not what you read stated by the haters

Living in the #6 largest Danish town in a apartment, with a little lottery win i would move to another country, and hopefully never hear my native tongue again.
Living in a new place i would not join any former Danish people organization there, i would wholeheartedly engage in my new country's culture.

Reasons. Pretty much all you can think off.
And dont get me wrong, from my arm chair here i can easy find things to dislike in any country, that also go for my destination country, if they would even have me of course.
But as a immigrant i would be able to not expect that much from my new country, and for long enough i am sure that i would be able to die in peace there.

You are actually allowed to shoot your airgun here if you have a house in a town, all the law say you must have a adequate back stop.
Mind you Danes very easy get butt hurt, and instead of just talking like any sane person would, well at first at least, Danes will just call in help from the state they so love "protect" them ( the police in this case )
But if your things are in order not much they can do of course.

Well that is until 1 pellet go flying where it should not be flying, then i am very sure excessive laws will get kicked out, just like they are now adding to the decade old knife law here as they found out that the punks that still stab each other with knifes, still do it just as much and they are again sure longer sentences will work.
Though the people that run around and stab each other ( most often not deadly ) well they might have gotten 9 -10 years of school here, but still can not or are very bad at reading or writing as they come fron isolated parts of society here.
