Something about this doesnt seem right to me. Is anybody else thinking user error here? That gun will shoot nickel sized groups, or better depending on conditions, at 50 yards, straight out of the box. One way to tell what your problem is, is to shoot at 25 yards. New user buys expensive airgun. New user then puts targets out at 50 yards expecting hole for hole groups. Slight shifting easterly winds prevent 1/4 inch groups because new user doesn't know how to dope. New user gets .75 inch groups, immediately blames gun, instead of blaming himself which is where the blame should be put. Instead, new gun goes back to manufacturer who then shoot gun indoors, see that theres nothing wrong with it.......do nothing to gun,...........send gun back to new user who doesn't know how to get .25 inch groups and gets .75 to one inch groups.........all the while blaming the gun and manufacturer.
Dear new user, shooting at 50 yards is an entirely different ball game than shooting at 25 yards. You should never test inherent accuracy at 50 yards. The slightest puff of wind can be the difference between a .25 inch grouping and a 1.25 inch grouping. It doesnt matter how much you spent on the gun. I could show you a 6 shot .25 of an inch grouping that was shot on 9/2/2018. This past Sunday. It was shot with a gun that cost less than half of what you paid for your gun. Non Regulated, Mechanical, Daystate Regal XL. So here's what happens with cases like yours. You send the gun back, manufacturer does nothing to the gun after they determine that the gun is fine. They send the gun back to you.....so you have one of those good days and you get these 1/2 inch groups........all of a sudden its a miracle, next thing you know, 2000+ dollar gun is the best shooting gun in the world. My best guess here is your problem is not the gun. Your problem is you and not knowing how to get the spectacular groupings you're looking for. I could show you how and the more I show you the less you will be blaming expensive airguns. If you don't believe me, contact TommyB on this forum. The bottom line here is, it's you......not the gun.
Some might be asking themselves, " Hmm who is this guy and how in the heck does he know there's nothing wrong with the gun, who does he think he is?" Yeah I know. How do I know......well because I have seen this mistake from new users for over 15 years. It's always the same thing. Exactly. The user sends me the gun, I put it on the bench outside. Next thing you know it's clipping aspirins at 50 yards all day long, in the wind, in the calm, at night, hot , cold,......Seen it a hundred times and had the guns in my hands.
At least he didn't buy a piece of crap Gamo Urban. Got him a nice gun instead of polishing a turd.
