where can I get bigger tube for impact to hold more regulated air ???

no edson they dont want to upgrade your gun they want to sell u new gun and u to get rid or keep other and when market is saturated I believe they will release it

They already announced the Impact X would be upgradable to the MKII specs. After every citizen of South Africa has the MKII and makes 100 videos about it's ability to shoot the nuts off a gnat at 200 meters... we may see it in the US around 9 months after the date FX says we will... but the slug liners still won't be ready for prime time.

Ok air supply so it is not accually the outside tube which is holding air it is inside the valve ? so If you had a larger tube and same valve isnt this doing same thing ? as anything in tube is regulated ? I can understand for bigger caliber and more pressures to make a bigger more durable valve for the .357 I do understand this , I think the .30 and up will have the bigger seat and under the smaller one ? .

I heard fx say 25 % more volume not if you increased size by 35% at where the regulator gage is it only makes 3 fpe difference unless when I did this the hole was not big enough to give it much more volume but if it is to the tube . I was limited to hoe big I could have went . I think it should get 10 or more percent increase , I noticed with enlarging plenums over 10% increase , when I tried it that way I did not get over like 4% increase

have you gotten more fpe from doing this mo then I did ?

All I was trying to say is I don’t think you’ll be able to buy just the plenum tube to up grade your older Impact I think they have a new valve housing that goes with it. The new valve housing has a larger diameter treaded end to match the new plenum tube.

open the diameter of the valve housing that way may have some advantages in the way the air flows.

The housing will be the same as current, the valve inside will be 2mm larger. The valve rod will need to be stronger and the hammer will need to be heavier.

If you increased the valve housing diameter the rear block would have to be wider.

Not the whole of the housing just the part that is treaded.

This is the standard valve housing & plenum. The new plenum will have a larger diameter. The new valve housing will have a step up in diameter to mate with the plenum. The valve housing will only be different on the plenum side of that collar.

So your old valve housing won’t work. Sorry for the confusion.

If the tube is well made , it works, I have seen it, working and live way before fx launch the mk2, you do not need anything else, just need to make a new one with the od about 5mm wider, and the id of the tread (just there, and same deep as the male valve plug and thread) about 5mm thicker, and done. Any experienced Lathe worker should be able to do it easy.

I was waiting for mine until the lathe went out of service...but today got some great news in my mail, but I will say nothing until I get it. ;)

Pretty sure (not 100% since I haven´t measure it for obvious reasons) tha Valve Housing has not change in the threaded part at least (diameters) of the mk2, therefore the anunce of an upgrade power kit

Any way in size is not much more bigger, 25% increase in volume is in easy terms: actual VT is 20cc (for example not sure if is exactly 20cc) 5cc extra, make a total of 25cc tube and that is a 25% increase. So is not really that big.

yes edosan this is what I meant , exactly just like the way huma makes bigger chambers with alum for say my edguns . the wider part will give the volume . and I guess with that alum valve if they decreased volume of the mass it would also boost the regulated air , and yes this has been done for many many years with other guns , this is not new technology . correct , only part needed is round stock and a lathe to make it , I am sure they have robotcs which streamline process but to mod our own guns or for a small place that sells mods to make them .

Hey edosan let me please know the amount of your gains in fps or fpe you gained , I know when I did my last slug gun I got like 15% more power by doing this , it was not an impact though , I accually got rid of mine but if now they can be stable at much higher fpe I will get another one ,

Hey EDosan , I have question a bit off track , but have you found the x barrel any better then just a plain LW unchoked barrel or uncoked poly barrel ?

AirSupply, per FX, the new plenum and valve housing will both be of bigger diameter for the new .35 caliber and upgrade kits.

Making a new plenum chamber with 25% more volume that mates to our existing block and also allows the original valve housing to fit is easily done on a lathe by boring the internal barrel to a larger diameter.

The valve "housing" threads onto the air transfer tube (plenum) and is inserted into the rear block. The valve housing can not be larger without enlarging the rear block. There is plenty of room to enlarge the valve housing ID without increasing it's OD. If they made the rear block wider to accommodate a larger OD valve housing then nothing on the rear of the gun would fit anymore. Here is a high res pic of the valve housing... it's already much thicker than necessary.

For sure! I will, as soon as I get it.

Regarding your question, yes, why? because of the ability of stx with JSB pellets to have accuracy without sorting (weight, size, etc) LW are very accurate but need sorting, I did it recently and is a real PITA, hate it. STX barrels do not need to sort or lube, they just redesign the pellet and differences in diameter (as long as is not much) does not matter (cero experience with poly barrels so far). There is a post regarding Daystate ART barrel, where the barrels differences are explained https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/new-art-barrel-from-daystate/page/3/ is a great post to read (not an expert at all, just an entusiast user)

Proof of that: In nov 2018 y went to my first bench rest (ever), I won in 50 mt (against some of the best including Claudio Flores), Pellets just out of a new tin

Last Sunday I went to my second Comp BR ever 75mt: I did sort pellets and use a LW barrel: Came out 4th! jajaja I made a stupid mistake not barrel related, but. In sum even if the results were first, I still prefer not so sort pellets ... I am just lazy! jaja :D

(bit of humor)

I understand all the specs as you went through them. I was restating what I was told by FX. They may also be enlarging the rear block to accommodate what they said about a bigger plenum tube and valve housing, but I was not told those particulars.

I feel like they're referring to a larger ID rather than OD.
