Where and What Fittings Do I Need

I have a fill whip that has male fittings on both ends. I need to have two foster quick connects on those ends. I've looked online and all I see is Foster tittings that have a male type end to attach to the fill whip. Male to male doesn't work. Do I need a double female on each end first or is there a foster quick connect that will thread right onto those two male ends on the fill whip?

There are lots of female threaded quick connects available on Aliexpress at affordable prices. Be sure to get the correct matching threaded quick connect.. If you male hose threaded ends have a slight taper then it's 1/8 NPT. If it's parallel threaded and it's a Chinese hose then it's probably a 10mm*1 thread so you'll need 10mm*1 female quick connects. If your hose is from Europe and it's parallel threaded then it's probably 1/8 BPT. Use a digital caliper to check if you're not sure.

Well you could always just get a whole assembly.

Or 2 of these if you know that you have 1/8 npt.

Its a Joe B hose. As you can almost read the airtanksforsale.com

It has some type of threads tape so I do not think it is parallel thread and would not have a oring so probably some type of pipe.

So removed it. Boy is it tight.

it matches with one of my 1/8 npt fitting.

You are a life saver. The same dang hose I have with the same label. forum member told me about Loctite 545. It's a liquid teflon tape substitute made for high pressure air fittings. I have used it on two other fittings I made for another application and it worked for me. There are spec sheets online that will tell all about it. the only drawback I saw was some questions how it might react if used where solvents were being moved in the fitting. As far as i know there isn't a lot of solvent in high pressure air.

It's expensive but I did find on the bay that someobody is buying it in bulk and then transferring it to smaller bottles and selling it at a more affordable price. Only drawback I saw was for the BEST assurance of a seal it should remain unpressurised for 24 hours. Although it can be used and the fitting be pressurized immediately. It just might leak. It's sold by different manufacturers but they all seem to keep the '545' in the product lable.

Try it. I think you'll throw that miserable teflon tape in the waste can.

FYI, whenever a fitting is sealed with teflon tape it indicates that it is tapered. 1/8 NPT is the thread on the microbore hose shown. That photo of the male adapter with teflon tape is a 1/8-1/4 NPT adapter. M10*1 female threaded quick connects are parallel threaded and usually include a white plastic seal that goes between the hose and the quick connect to seal. Most BSP fittings are also parallel threaded and typically seal with a dowty washer.
