The title says it all. Like pellets do you wait until accuracy falls off, or do you clean more often. I'm using slugs lubed with Ballistol if that makes a difference.

I clean pretty often. I have found that it helps, especially with slugs. I saw a test that showed that cleaning after 100 rounds makes a difference.
But I just pass a mop soaked in Ballistic. Great stuff.

My guns won't shoot slugs but EVERYTHING I've read says slugs foul a barrel much quicker than pellets (if that helps).

I have been shooting NSA 36.2gr ammo with the factory lube.
I have shot 1000's of rounds without cleaning my slug liner A .
I recently installed the new Superior Slug liner in my M3. I have only shot 300 or so rounds through it, but it still shoots the H&N 38gr Heavies great.
I have some of the new Javelin 40gr ammo on order.
I would imagine I should be able to shoot 1000's of those also without cleaning my barrel.

Waaaaaaaay more often. But I don’t shoot hard as rocks slugs. If I was just poking holes in paper, I would experiment more with NSA’s. His recipe has them shooting pretty clean.

The only time I shoot slugs is right after I clean my RAW's barrel....

Good question. Does the recommended frequency of cleaning a slug barrel change if the slugs are banded or smooth bodied (not sure on the correct term here)? Do choked barrels require more cleaning than unchoked barrels?
