Break barrel. Have and had both side and under levers. Arguably, not much, if any, accuracy gain. Completely throws off the balance and adds unnecessary weight. Never liked sticking my thumb or finger in the Guillotine either. Many really love the fixed barrel though.

After these words, voting is meaningless. Unfortunately, a good rifle with a break barrel has become increasingly difficult to buy.

I don't like twiddling around loading or the unnecessary weight of lever guns. I don't hold the barrel on a break barrel. I load it like this. Or something similar.

I used to be the opposite. I had 1 break barrel that I got for a complete steal, the guy basically gave it away. For years that was the only break barrel I had. Now I have a lot but nowhere near the amount of under levers.

Side lever when bench resting. (Loading without have to lift the rifle out of the rest). Otherwise plain brake barrel, but as mentioned, the top notch rifles often have the under lever solution....

Side lever. Just something about my Diana 75 and 48 that really works well for me. Plus, leverage and cocking effort isn't dependent upon barrel length.

Really like break barrels. But as Northwoods22 said you should never rule out a Side Lever. Thinking about my old Diana 54 but more so the FWB 300 series guns that are classics that should be experienced by all airgunners.

I longed for a underlever for years and finally picked up a hw77k last year. I should have made the move long ago because the rifle is just too darn heavy for me now. I'm really a plinker and a pester so the break barrels are what I grab most of the time.
