(also includes gas ram guns)
There's a huge variety of spring piston airguns out there, from very cheap Chinese, German low-powered ones up through super magnum.
What's the one that you like the most?
I'm toying with the idea of adding another springer or CO2 to my stable. Looking at my collection below, (all in .177) I wonder what you recommend for a well-rounded collection?

- Weihrauch HW30s in .177. My favorite plinker
- Daisy 953 (single pump pneumatic, 5 shot mag) - My favorite 10m target gun
- Crosman 1377 "American Classic" in .177, customized
- Stoeger X20 in .177 (mid-powered springer, shoots CPLs at about 900 fps)
- Diana 56TH in .177 - Magnum springer, side lever cocking, thumbhole stock.
- I like the Weihrauch HW30s very much. I'm wondering if I went up to an HW50 or HW80 if it would lose the easy-cocking, easy-shooting nature and start to get hold-sensitive? Beeman equivalents can also be considered.
- I'm also wondering if a gas ram gun might be good? But I don't really need a magnum one, and it seems that's all they make. I'm not sure the Crosman ones are accurate enough, and the Crosman springers I've had have had terrible triggers. I want good quality, so I'm not sure Hatsan should be a strong consideration.
- I don't really want a multi-pumper, but would consider a CO2. Maybe a Crosman 1077 repeater (terrible triggers?) or 2260 Heritage and add the steel breech? Or even one from the Custom Shop based on a single CO2 pistol action. How much harder do they shoot with a longer barrel? I'd like to get over 550 fps with a 7-8 gr. pellet. It seems like this might be a good middle ground between PCP and spring or pump-up pneumatic. Others Hammerli Air Magnum, Walther lever action, or the new Umarex one.
- Or maybe it's time to try a mid-power .20 cal? It's a nice even number, both in Imperial and metric, and a good compromise between .177 and .22. Flatter trajectory than .22, but still harder hitting than a .177. Maybe something that shoots a mid-weight .20 pellet at between 700-800 fps and is as easy-shooting as my .177 HW30s?
- I had (and liked the idea of) a QB78, but the quality was just poor, poor, poor. Too bad, as I really liked the idea of it. I had the target stock and everything.
