What’s your “Go To” PCP?

I enjoy shooting 3 PCP guns now. A Streamline .22, a QB78 (RS78) that’s not really a QB any longer since converting to air and a repeater. I just recently received a Artemis PP700SA pistol. I plan to either buy or make a stock to turn it into a rifle at some point.

I try to to cycle through shooting all of them. Right now all of my time is with the PP700SA since I’m trying to get familiar with it. I just do backyard plinking. They all have their place. I use the SL for those long range challenges (50-100 yards) since that is the one that performs best but I DO like the 3 level power adjuster on it and I can dial it down for plinking so save on air and when I’m shooting at closer ranges.

The RS78 is a good gun and is a challenge to shoot out to 50-60 yards. The wind really affects those .177 cal pellets at distance. It’s almost cheating at closer than that but it makes a great precision gun for small reactive targets but not quite at the level it would need to be to shoot well in actual target matches.

Maybe you are a target shooter, or maybe a hunter. You could be like me and just shoot various targets in your backyard. Whatever it is, I’d like to hear about it.

So, I’m just curious... when you do what you do with your pcp airguns, which one do you go to for getting the job done?

Thanks!

My go to gun is my FX Royal .177, it just balances perfectly and it’s a laser. No recoil at all, makes off hand shooting possible for me. And I really enjoy my P-3 and HW-75 pistols for fun plinking. My compressor is down right now so I’ve been shooting the pistols a lot and really enjoying it. I can see a springer rifle in my future for the dreaded down compressor times.

My "lowly" Kral Puncher Breaker synthetic in .22

48 shots at 31 ft lbs. delivered with a level of accuracy that usually costs quite a bit more to attain. It's nice and short making it easy to lug around. Has a ported valve, upgraded cocking lever and nice home tune making operation smoother than a Barry White cd.

My .22 Cricket mini Carbine. Lightweight, 30 FPE with JSB 18.1, accurate, very efficient, super easy to shoot off hand, great trigger, 14 shot magazines. Couple that with a Vortex Razor HD LH 3-15x42 weighing only 16.5 ounces, and you have a winner. When I point this gun at anything up to 100 yards, I don’t just “think”, I’m going to hit, I “know” I’m going to hit. It’s that good....

Thanks brother. That’s a Neil Clague shroud, and also a butt extension (3/4”) that Nick made for me so it shoulders more smoothly. I use the khaki strap for a one point shoulder mount since this gun is mostly for hunting, but I’ll use it for the PRC and Speed events at RMAC. Love those UTG AccuSync one piece mounts. ;)

PS., got a chub looking at that Thomas. Super hot!!!

Mike. Gotta link to that mount? Dang it, might have to put one on my Firecracker?
