What's your favorite fixed power scope?

In the late 90's I bought for Field Target a Nightorce 36X Field Target labeled. I paid $600.00 to Mance Ethridge. I now own 3 of them. It is not temperature sensitive and range finds to 55 yards with lots of accuracy. Optics are comparable with Leupold and maybe a tad better. Lighted reticle. They have appreciated on the used market.

That sounds like a great find (or 3)!

Can anyone compare the SWFA and Sightron 10x scopes to the Dedal 6x?

I have a Dedal and between the eye box and field of view I can get on target quickly.

When I put my Bugbuster 3-12 or Burris Timberline on 10x I don't feel I can get on target quick enough. It's especially bad with the Bugbuster. But I'm guessing that's a mix of both FOV and the eye box. Regardless, that's as close as I can get to seeing if I might like a fixed 10x.

I've never seen a listed FOV for the Dedal so it's hard for me to guess how it compares to the SWFA or Sightron. The Dedal for sure has a greater FOV compared to the Bugbuster or Timberline when the latter two are set at 6x.

I know I'll be giving up some FOV by going to a fixed 10x. I guess I'm just trying to determine if there is a chance it will work for me. I like the Dedal a lot but would like to try more magnification.

I guess a related question is how does the eye box compare between the SWFA and Sightron? As I recall the SWFA has a slightly greater FOV so I'm leaning towards that one.
