Whats your favorite air gun and why?

If I rank mine ...

1. Cricket .22 bullpup. Very accurate (4 out of 5 in one small hole at 40 yds), first shots even after sitting for weeks. Compact and pretty light. Quiet. No issues since replacing leaking reg. Easy too work on. Pretty wood stock.

If I could only keep one, it would be the cricket.

2. BSA Ultra, .22. Accurate, but no reg. Gun must be about 15 years old, and only issue was needed to replace fill o-ring. Very easy to work on. Pretty compact and light. Pretty wood stock.

3. Daystate Wolverine B. Easiest to shoot accurately, but not as accurate as the cricket. Pretty wood stock. But, it's a big and heavy gun and not easy to work on, and it only shoots at about 28fpe.

4. Arforce condor .22. Ugly, not comfortable, no regulator, and not as accurate as the other three But my most powerful, and very very easy to work on.

Wow, all you guys with all those guns, cool. I am new to air gunning and my first was a Crossman springer off the shelf at Walmart. Got tired of cranking it up real quick, so I bought a Benjamin Armada 22 cal. PCP. I know it it not anything more than an entry level rifle, ( from what I see), but it is fun to shoot and I have even been shooting in BR 25 m and silhouette. The best thing is I can sit inside my nice cool shop (Arizona, need I say more) and shoot out to my 25m targets. Can't do that with the AR. My budget is also very happy with my choice, although I am rapidly being sucked into upgrading. Funny how that little dot on paper will get you to open your wallet pretty quickly. Already bought 10 spare mags, a compressor, lots of different ammo, a new Vortex Diamondback 6 x 24 - 50 FFP scope, and just today put in my order for a new Walther 22 inch barrel. Shhhh, don't tell the wife!! Looking forward to more shooting and chatting about shooting, and spending more money. Have a great day.

Dan, I like your initial thoughts and funny sentiments about your new AG hobby! Especially, “ don’t tell the wife.” We all can relate!

Lot’s of knowledgeable members on AGN. Have fun.

My favorite depends on which pest I am after that day! .22 caliber carbines are my weakness. If I could only have 1 it would most likely be the Evol mini 22 as it does everything well with no compromises on my part. Extremely well built, accurate, and with an adapter and Magpul it is an awesome gun. Fits in most any pack when folded and no POI shifts! Will make it personal one day with a custom cerakote job! Might make the stellar EDGUNS and Daystates

My FX 400 Royale 22 cal. Never needs cleaning. Gets 117 shot on a tank. Only replaced one o ring. Always shoots on the money.

Here is another vote for the Royale. Arguably, one of the most trouble free and dependable PCPs I own. Very accurate and reliable “first shot” POI. Love the ST barrel.

But, like someone else previously stated, hard to pick a favorite. Also have a RAW HM1000x .22 cal, Daystate Safari .22, Taipan Long .25, HW100 .22 Carbine. All great guns; each for different purposes.

My favorite is a AZ Rapid .20 it’s extremely accurate and quiet, and with the 12-50x scope a shooting session is extra fun because you can put the crosshairs in a pellet hole at 100 yards. The groups are at 130 yards. Plus it’s always good with cold shots. My next favorite is a FX Royal in .177, it’s so accurate and balanced with no problems whatsoever so far in three years.

I've never owned a gun (of 100+) that was I was so attached to call it my favorite. My favorite of the month maybe. :)

That being said, if I had to only choose one of all I've owned: Diana 350mag. Looks good, shoots great, fine weight/size, and can feed me if ever needed.

But not what I'd go out and buy today if I had the funds to try something new to be my favorite.

Right now, it's my new AAA Evol Mini 22. She's the new flavor of the month so I've been spending a lot of time getting to know her.

The L2 also gets some love and accompanies the Evol Mini for home pesting. I have both out most of the time. The Evol Mini for doves at 60 yards and the L2 in .30cal is currently set up with the Aimpoint Micro T1 for fast moving chickens within 30 yards.
