What’s Your Baddest, Favorite, Most Accurate .177 PCP?

I also have a RAW TM1000 with poly barrel that i would say is my most accurate .177 air rifle.

My brocock compatto in .177. Fun to shoot and nice and quite for the backyard. Now if I have the .177 barrel in my leshiy I prefer that. Though not near as quite as my compatto.

My Daystate Red Wolf with a Hawk Sidewinder ED 10-50 scope, shooting JSB 10.3gr, is the most accurate .177 I have ever owned.

It wouldn't be beneficial if it did because in 177 it will only shoot accurately at the highest power setting anyway.

10 @40yds. Slight breeze.
Your groups will shrink significantly when you back the power down to 900fps shooting 10.3s and may be able to consistently get 1/4" and better groups at 50 yards depending on your barrel but it really looks promising.

ColdAir, could you please explain why this would be? I’m not familiar with the current speeds out of a .177 WC. If it had 3 power levels, what would we assume these speeds to be? And why would they not be accurate? Are you talking about any distance? Or do you have a particular distance in mind where it would no longer be accurate? Does the .177 Streamline behave like this as well?

Used to own the FX Impact in .” .177cal and had luck with the “Smooth Twist” barrel in .177. I currently own the AA S200T in .177cal and it’s a tack driver for sure. Would love to have a Kalibrgun Cricket Compact .177, but that’s a tough find.

Baddest as in most powerful .... My highly modified Gen 1 marauder which shoots best @ 20 ft lbs ... but can go in excess of 30 ft lbs
Favorite .... Again the M-rod due to having an excellent Chuvaka stock, JSA light aluminum air tube
Accurate .... may as well stay with the m-rod being it shoots just a well as my Daystates or Raw, BSA & Air arm

For .177, far and away the best I've owned and the best I have ever shot - is my Daystate Red Wolf. It took my Field Target shooting to a new level this past season.

Kalibrgun cricket standard .177 bad a$$,its my all around bullpup favorite and field target airgun shoots just as accurate as my daystate wolverine and fx tarantula and air arms tm 100!!..

My Red Wolf is my most accurate .177, Just beats the Wolverine R by a small margin (I think largely due to the superior trigger)
The FX Crown was my favorite .177 rifle but wasn't even in the same league accuracy wise so ended up returning it

Its a little known fact that with 177 FX barrels generally aren't very accurate at lower speeds below 900fps
and tend to do well in the 920-960s. Some guys even upgraded their WC regulators to the HUMA and
tried to do 12-14fpe WCs and resulted in less than stellar accuracy! Gave up and put everything back to the high power
and all was well again in the world. Something to do with the ST combination shooting its favored JSB pellets.
I believe its due to the rate of twist. A power wheel wouldn't benefit unless you bump the power up and have the lowest
setting starting at around 18fpe.
It is like the Marauder 22 barrel lottery for the 177 FX ST barrels in this case, you may even get lucky if you pray hard but
from what I have seen, other barrels in 177 such as LWs and CZs are superior in accuracy which is what I would recommend
if trying to install a power wheel onto a WC to vary lower power to get the best accuracy.

Well, I think I have narrowed down my choice to a CZ variant. Will see. This is not a priority gun, so it will probably wait for next year. Regardless of barrel type, I don’t want to shoot it that hot, but it will need to be accurate. I’m happy with 1/2” at 40 yards or so. Thanks for the input.
