What's up with some buyer's???

They ask if you'll take x amount $s you say yes and they never reply back!!! Some ask stupid questions , leave you there number to text your relpy and they can't even respond a simple thank you! I'm a stand up guy when i inquire about something and make an offer i stand by that offer! Just my rant i guess!!! Steve

I couldn’t agree more. I had the same thing happen to me on the RFC forum. I had an item for sale, guy says would you takeX amount. I say yes and mark it sold. Guy says I don’t want it, I was just asking. Some guys get tired of playing with thenselves, so they want to play with others. I posted negative feedback on him for backing out and he on me in retaliation. Only one of two times I’ve gotten negative feedback in 20 years, and neither was justified.

Buyers are people, and George Carlin said it best:

"Did you ever notice that, how many stupid people you run into during the day? Goddamn there's a lot of stupid bastards walking around. Carry a pad and pencil with you, you'll wind up with thirty or forty names by the end of the day. Think about this; think about how stupid the average person is, and then realize that half of 'em are stupider than that."

I like the last part the best. 😊

That said. What do you really expect? People, society really, is not what it used to be. No body really cares about anything other then themselves anymore.

Whenever I send out an email, I use my name, ask how they are doing, say thanks at the end and finish it off with my name. That's me. However, 99.99% of all emails or texts I use (for official use, not friends), people say nothing other than what they want. No hi, no bye, no nothing.

Common courtesy does almost not exist anymore.

Man, I could go on and on, but why!? LOL.

Thanks,

Kmd.

When a price has been agreed on by both parties and the person wanting the item says I’ll take it that to me is as good as a handshake and the deal is closed, I had a situation where I agreed on the sellers price and told them I would go put funds in my PayPal account being it was late Friday so I said I’d let him know it was there Monday when I got home from a doctors appointment so I could send him the funds, needless to say my doctors appointment didn’t go that good and I got sidetracked for a few days, the seller got back to me about it and I apologized right away then told him what happened and transferred the money to him right away, we both were happy with the deal plus he knew I wanted the item.

Guess what I’m saying is sometimes a person might get sidetracked like I did or something else comes up and needs to be reminded in a nice way especially when you have done the verbal I’ll take it handshake.

Other then that people that Want the cheapest price you’ll take or haggle over what you have it listed for and don’t get back to you or don’t go through with the deal after giving them the best price you can do can go bite them self’s, those are probably the same people that will go on line and say something like..he was going to sell it to me for this price and you bought it for that much what a jerk he is, I’ve seen that before.

Anyway selling and or buying has its ups and downs that we just have to learn to deal with the best we can.

As a general rule I don't sell much, when I find something I like I keep it. When i do sell I try to do it for a price that is fair for me and the potential buyer. When buying if the seller has "firm" on the price I won't make an offer on the item, if it's something I need and the price is in line I'll buy it at the sellers price. If there is no "firm" on the price I have no problems asking the seller what his "bottom dollar" is, if he wants to deal on his item great, if not that's okay too. IMO if you're asking a new price for a used item expect to be asked if you'll take less, the way I see it the seller doesn't really want to sell that item or he's looking for an idiot.

Your mileage may vary.
