What's Up with Pyramid Air

When I got into this game there was no UTA or AGA etc.... This used to be my go to place to get stuff.... why are they backordered on 3/4 of there JSB AMMO when it's readily available elsewhere? It's my understanding PA and Air gun depot are owned by the same entity? Long story short... UTA and AGA have gotten some of my cash recently because frankly the out of stock items on PA far exceed the in stock items across the board. I don't know what's transpired there in the last year but not having product for weeks on end when others do is a sure fire way to not be in business.

...AOA...?!?...

Give them a break. They have had something like 350% more orders this year, plus Covid-19 production issues; it’s a large company, back ordered because of Covid. If you get something yes expect a delay, but they will get you your product. 2020 has been crazy. They are not my absolute favorite company, but they are trying their best with the volume they have, and it is a learning curve.I know they redesigned their warehouse just to make the picking and packing faster. My last order was a couple days late, and that is not the end of the world. Overall they are kosher.

I strongly support AOA, and their shipping times are always on point. That is a good alternative.

The last time I ordered from them it took 8 days to get me 4 tins of pellets . I paid extra for the 2 day shipping it got here 1 day after being SHIPPED . but it took them 6 days to pull my order .(they were in stock ) What's the point in paying for 2 day shipping if there not going to ship it out for almost a week after you order

I like the buy 3 get one free but if you want them in a hurry better order somewhere else

this whole covid thing is BS. there would not be a shortage on anything if PEOPLE would stop hoarding!

stop buying more than you need people! cant blame the buisinesses.

yes but everyone need way more pellets than ever before thanks to “working” from home! I’ve gone through over 1000 pellets this week compared to 0 this week last year.

It’s totally hit or miss. When I bought my springer from them the beginning of this year to get back into the sport, everything was in stock, but COVID had just made everything almost impossible. It took a month plus to get my tun and pellets. Then a few months later I put in a pellet order for 8 tins of pellets. The website still said order was being picked 3 days later, yet I got home to it sitting on my doorstep.
this year has been rough for everyone, and I understand your frustrations, but for a second, put yourself in their shoes. Social distancing and keeping their employees as safe as they can, while completing a much larger amount of orders than usual, while battling with shortages from their suppliers that are going through the same thing.
be patient, and be understanding. If I’ve learned anything about this sport, is that we’re a tight knit community that are willing to do anything to help our fellow air gunner.

dont get me started on working from home. why do you have more time working from home?

Working 8 hour shifts at the job site consumed ~11 hours of my day, between getting ready for work, the commute, parking and the nearly 9 hours on the job. I can get-off quite a few rounds of pellets in 3 hours.😉

The supply chains were set up at previous years data on everything and well 2020 has been a cluster f$%^k so data went out the window coupled with social distancing how do you operate a business with states rigging how many people allowed in building how close they can work with one another “need a tape gun well get away from me social distance” this whole thing really screwed with inventory controls

It has to be a lot more than pellets being hoarded. After all, I've had nearly everything either start on back-order or move to back-order, like cleaning kits. How many cleaning kits do you need?

I suspect a big part of it is that they fill orders with few items as fast as they can while their bigger orders (the ones with multiple smaller items you try to make hit $150 so you get free shipping) languish. Orders I've made that have even one item on back-order do not get the other in-stock items allotted to them so that order can go out ASAP. So by the time your one out-of-stock item is available -- which might take all of a couple of days -- another item might have gone out of stock, and later another, each time setting your order's priority to zero again. This can go on for any length of time as items that were in stock when you ordered disappear from inventory.

I've confirmed this by obsessively checking my order statuses day by day, even seeing an order with all items available suddenly revert to one with an item or three suddenly unavailable. First come does not mean first served.

I get my pellets from Trenier Outdoors. He is a small dealer, but his pricing is usually less and gets them shipped within a day.

+1 on Trenier Outdoors. he has been absolutely great to deal with. Ships promptly and if anything is ever off (only happened once) he is on it immediately and makes it right. Communicates even on weekends. He has become my go to guy for many things airguns!
