What's up with forum member Yo?

I bet there is context to yo's paragraph of hilarious mic drops. Like maybe someone told him that the umarex hammer was the most powerful production air rifle on earth or something? Maybe someone called him a hippy?. There's just no way of knowing. Yo has been really helpful and kind to me so I really don't care if he lost it in a single post. I've been there myself. I took the flag and didn't do it again. I say we all just leave it be. Yo is cool.

IMO, most people do not lash out just because they can

Not that it excuses such behavior, I'd like to see what he was replying to, please.

Ed

That's a pretty angry reply from YO,most certainly

IMO, the post to which he was replying is immaterial. If it was something for which a personal reply was appropriate, it should have been done offline. A public forum is just that, and the content should be relevant to the forum population in general.

Ed

We'll need to agree to disagree on that point.

Not making any arguments in either direction.

It's just surprising that a grown man would reply that way

I for one, never saw the dark side and only know him from the posts I have read.

Being the guy that opened this can-o-worms, allow me to suggest that we close it.

Ed

cmatera,

I would guess by your reponse that you don't agree with some things that have transpired on AN. I hear and respect your response/opinion/point of view, even though I don't share it. As I understand it, use of Michael's site is subject to his rules and most are fine with that. It sounds like you may not cometely as you stated that you use the site to "buy grips" or "as a last resort". Yet here you are. Reading, posting, participating, and you are still very welcome to do so. I'm glad people have the ability "agree to disagree" on subjects, while still expressing their opinions in a civil fashion

Yo is cool in my book! he was very welcoming when I introduced myself the first time I registered for the forum, plus he has lots of knowledge that can be shared and I enjoy reading his replies. Cracks me up all the time.

Seriously, everyone needs to cut him some slack.

Lets ask a serious question... Does everyone here likes to see an active forum, or do we want a forum that is super quiet?

if "we" start kicking members out for posting too much.. then what's the purpose of being on here.

I personally enjoy logging in and reading all the new cool things that are being posted by all members. Lots of good information. If it wasn't for the forum, I wouldn't have purchased a high end air gun. Id still be shooting my Walmart daisy red Ryder...

Now if he's a scammer.. by all means, FLAG to your hearts content. But I think he brings some good information to the forums. Let him post!

This is what this thread reminds me of.

Buy grips and as a last resort was a reference to Facebook, not to this site. User Agreements and Terms of Service are purposely written to to totally allow the owner/s to define the rules as they go, which is fine. On sites where the advertisers are financing the site, users must be aware and accept that the information contained therein is not necessarily true or honest as many of the seemingly average members are really just advertisers or associates who are paying to access likely buyers. I accept that also. Often the truth or honest opinions which are in no way slanderous or insulting are removed because the renters of the electronic billboards at the top banner demand it. I accept that.

I appreciate that we can agree to disagree or differ just a little in our thoughts without abusing some silly red ball game, trying to entice others to gang up on someone, or abusing the report post option every time someone says something we don't like or agree with. I value your opinions even though we may not hold the same things to the same level of importance, and your contributions on this site. I look forward to more of your posts in the future.-carl

I bet you before long Yo starts his own forum. I bet he’s capable.

Don't say such silly nonsense. But I already got TOM BRADY on my team who feels NEUTERED here who mostly lurks now and rarely posts since he realized even HE has to follow this house rules sp can't shoot the bull and be himself here anymore like a caged animal that's too bad. When Tom got KICKED OFF the YELLOW TEAM that was the beginning of their end. Can't be like TalonTunes though that was just too crazy with no moderation leading to their demise. Bet if Tom was there they would still be happening.

BTW MY POST in that very same thread that got me all covered in flags STRAIGHT UP NO BS I HONESTLY SAID IM SORRY TWICE WAS ALSO DELETED. But the EVIDENCE? WE SHALL NEVER KNOW. I DID PUBICLY STATE TWICE THAT IM SORRY FYI!!! Yo!

YO, What is the lowest power you ever had your K1 shooting at?, and what ammo, thanks.

A SUMATRA would be a safe gun to do what I think you want to do probably from maybe 1fpe to 60-70fpe. One of mine goes so low no air comes out at the minimum setting. Worth having at least one in 22 caliber for an all in one versatile accurate non pellet fussy gun. IMHO. Yo!
