I stand with you.this guy has great info and knowledge. And sometimes he's funny 😆. Hey guys this is a forum for all don't dislike something about someone just cause the have more or know more.i for one iam very knew to this sport.there are some very smart people on here that share ideas I would have know way of doing..So with all that said.Good day shoot often and Learn.

I'll stand in favor of YO also! I will also admit though.... in the beginning of his participation, I thought to myself... WHERE has this fellow been before 3/26/20? with ALL his knowledge of ALL things airgun related? He IS a plethora of info, advice and opinion. His climbing number of posts became evident to me when his YO signature continued to show on nearly every forum thread... I figured "okay,, here's another covid19 self-isolating / quarantined know-it-all making himself known to the airgun world" 😏.... but as I read on to his posts, I found he made really good sense, was helpful and quite knowledgeable in his postings.

YO has ruffled some others feathers just by adding his YO signature at the end of his posts...? I don't get it? You go YO.👍

That's a pretty angry reply from YO,most certainly

IMO, most people do not lash out just because they can

Not that it excuses such behavior, I'd like to see what he was replying to, please.

Nothing difficult to understand about the rules. If I violate them, the offending posts may be flagged and justifiably so. I will not complain if ever I commit an offense and get sanctioned for it.

FYI: I never flag posts. I prefer that forum members get the true measure of the man, so-to-speak.

IMO, the post to which he was replying is immaterial. If it was something for which a personal reply was appropriate, it should have been done offline. A public forum is just that, and the content should be relevant to the forum population in general.

IMO, the post to which he was replying is immaterial. If it was something for which a personal reply was appropriate, it should have been done offline. A public forum is just that, and the content should be relevant to the forum population in general.

This is an airgun forum and not a forum dedicated to the enterprise of drama. We should conduct ourselves according to the rules/guidelines and not complain about getting flagged if we are not abiding by them. We do not need to make threads about drama either; rather, we should ignore any drama and let moderators handle it. I don’t use the flag button: never have, never will. But if someone sees a rule being broken, the flagging function is there for a reason. A flagged post would have to be breaking a rule to be valid. However, the best way to get rid of drama is still to ignore it. If a person cannot moderate themselves, a moderator will moderate it for them. If you want drama, GTA is easily accessible in your search bar. Otherwise, let’s stick to Airguns.



Anyone have that new MLlll?

Not that it’s an excuse, but I think his buttons have been being pushed for a couple weeks. Reads like he finally snapped. Kind of understandable if you really enjoy a forum but keep getting kicked in the nuts every time they heal. I just try to keep things in perspective. This is a great place but my life does not revolve around it. Our opinions and personalities don’t have to align all the time but as adults, who can’t punch each other in the face, we try to keep it civil. We all get our buttons pushed from time to time. It’s how we react to it that speaks volumes about who you are and how much you value being on this forum.

Obviously a lot of people have seen Yo's participation in the forum since he joined at the beginning of the lock down. I have no issues, nor have I flagged any of his posts. Definitely a smart guy, well experienced in airguns, must be of an affluent background as he seems to have every luxury airgun out there (or multiples). I welcome the input of people who keep the forum threads flowing and conversation going. I can see where a few take his mostly short posts as arrogant or know-it-all but you just gotta accept the man has a strong personality and is being himself. 

A generalized statement, not directed at Yo - I've learned a long time ago that many people with strong personalities are also enablers for those who are weaker. The generally get off on manipulating other people and getting them to do their will. They speak in short sentences and don't feed you much information, but then knock you when you call them wrong - because they can NEVER be wrong. You gotta always be street smart and use your common sense. Just look at Trump if you want enabling type comments - those that start with "Everyone is doing 'this'.......". Get the facts, dig into the details and the data. Don't take anyone at the word unless you already know them. 

......back to Yo - at first I was skeptical of his broad statements and generalizations because there was zero data to back them other than his personal experience, of which I knew nothing. Then I started to see a few posts from respected people here who vouched for him. He's trying to be helpful and get involved - how many people here are lurkers vs posters? I don't like seeing posts where one person insults another person's intelligence or makes assumptions based on social standing, but I never saw any of those posts short of the linked one, so if it was an issue hopefully it is now resolved. 

This thread'll likely get shut down eventually like the other one, so I'll only make one suggestion to Michael. Consider enabling some sort of an 'ignore' or 'block' function on the forum. This way if a user doesn't want to see posts specifically from another user they can do it discreetly and without embarrassing threads like this with one user calling out another publicly.

I've suggested an IGNORE USER option several times, including directly to Michael, to no avail. It would remove the snitch mentality here and save a lot of work on moderating. The first question the mods could ask: "Have you blocked this user" ? Why not? Then we'd only have to worry about the paid advertisers whining to the mods to protect them.

I am fairly new to AN(joined last year), so I may have limited perspective. Airgun Nation is an awesome place for airgun enthusiasts from all over to have a voice, have fun, share info, promote the industry, etc... From what I understand, Michael runs/owns/started this site. As such, Michael makes/enforces the rules. From what I've seen, they are very fair rules and Michael does a great job of letting everyone freely express their opinion and is very hesitant to take action(giving multiple warnings) unless something is egregiously in violation of the rules. I would encourage everyone to try to show some respect(or at least ignore) everyone else's unique points of view and/or opinions(no matter how much you disagree) and have a civil discourse or take your arguement to private messaging. Michael has provided a forum for all of us to use and enjoy within the rules(which all had to agree to before joining). He is very open to appropriate(private or public) comments/suggestions and, imho has a tough job to "police" the website.

One sad commentary from yesterday(Memorial Day) as of 11:00p.m.est:

Memorial Day thread= 111 views

Multiple AG forums thread= 325 views

The "rules" are so subject to interpretation, that almost ANY post can be held in violation. No foul language, no insults nothing. Just like Facebook, things get sanitized and just disappear. Not the thread is locked after a warning-GONE.

I don't find yesterday to be a sad commentary. I know what day Memorial Day is. I know what it means. I don't come to an airgun forum to be reminded of things. That's what Facebook is for and the only reason I joined it was to buy a set of Steven Brown grips for my Leshiy, and it's the only way. I only use it as a last resort.

I have put up posts that I thought were meaningful but got no response, I have posted thing that veered somewhat off topic. I was not offended that others did not find the same things important that I did.
