What would you guys say about this shot string?

First thing to do is try setting the hammer spring tension to deliver 95 - 97% of peak velocity. That will make it as insensitive as possible to slight pressure variations.

Then if you haven’t already, give it up to 500 shots to break in the regulator. The cycling open and close will help to break in the valve seat. If that does not being down the ES to your satisfaction, you can polish the seat, replace the seat, or send it back.

One last shot string. This time after it's been sitting for 5hrs. 2 mags with the 18gr JSB.

I had the same problem with my Uragan .22. I took off the butt stock because their was some creep in my trigger i needed to adjust out, and noticed the small allen screw for the hammer spring was loose. Probably from being 14 days in transit? Anyway i got it on the chrono at 880fps and locked down that screw & my last 20 shots had an es of 8. I've only got about 300 pellets through mine.

Ok just wanted to clear some things up here. My point of this post is NOT about the gun in question at all. What I'm asking simply is that do these string look ok or normal to you for a regulated gun and that it's fine as is. These guns are very nice guns and I actually really like this one alot. The best bullpup I've owned overall minus the reg issue but it's not the point of this post. I've got a RMA for the gun now and will be returning it. But from what I was told over the phone the shot strings looked "normal". All I'm asking is if I'm out of line thinking these aren't normal. I would play with the hammer spring if I planned on keeping it but since Im returning it I'm not touching anything so as to not have the chance of being told that I messed it up by adjusting things.

So essentially; the folks you bought it from said the shot strings looked OK, but out of the kindness of their hearts were willing to issue an RMA anyway.

Does that come close?

I do not like the shot string at all lol. No where near what I would have hoped for if it doesn't improve at all in a full 2 tins I would be on the phone with the dealer. I would run the tins pretty quick and not wait very long even if i was just cronoing in the garage or barn at a very short distance 25 feet or less. I would just get some lead through it quickly and see if there were any change if not a phone call would go out.

👍 I will stick with my original post lol. I do not like the shot string. Good call on leaving it all alone so it can't be blamed on you. I hope it all goes smooth with the RMA . JMHO lol😋

From yesterday a shot group with the 16gr (first shot was way low as I had the gun by a heater wondering if the colder temps were messing with it so air pressure in the plenum was high so I erased them)

just curious why you write your first shot last and last shot first. i feel like im reading chinese...lol. my unreged hatsan flashpup shot more consistent than that. now it has a huma regulator and its pretty amazing for $300 bucks

I normally agree with Jason. But how many cc air tube on the uragan? Its a massive amount. I almost bet if you kept shooting, it would keep declining. You an back the hammer spring out and see if it flattens out. Go a full turn at least to see if makes a difference. But even the piss poor reg on the nova liberty wasn't that bad. In my experience, which isn't worth a plug nickel. A creepy reg will at least flatten out after 5 shots. Its acting like the washers are close to coil bind or the likes.

Yes, I gladly concede there may be other issues but I was simply advocating trying a simple and completely noninvasive adjustment to establish a proper baseline. Quite possible it would have then become obvious that something else remains.

Your input is always welcome lol. you have helped alot of us . Thank you for that.

When nervous speaks I tend to listen. That man saved me quite a bit of fuss on more than one of my guns.
