Tuning What would you do to this shot string?

What would you do to flatten and improve this shot string? As you you can see, after about shot #19, FPS starts to go up and down significantly and the last 2 shots spike up. All shots are on the reg and using JSB 15.89’s.

what should I do? Decrease hammer or increase?
I am trying to harmonically tune the rifle, the reg is set at about 95 bar with the Transfer Port on “High/.25 .30” and hammer wheel on max.

Looks fine to me. That's under 20fps spread. Won't be able to tell on paper at your 100 yard target up to 40fps if you got an accurate barrel with perfect lot# die batch preferred pellet or slug combination.

Go ahead and loan your chrony to someone who always borrows and never returns things then you will sleep better and enjoy the sport even more.

You wanna get blown away over nothing OCD??? ALWAYS HAVING UNCONTROLLABLE COMPULSIVE CHRONIC CHRONY SYNDROME DISORDER? UCCCSD

(THERE YOU GO)

Go buy an old Theoben Rapid (Probably around $600-$700) or Daystate Renegade or Brocock Bantam HiLite (Probably around $425-$525) all in 22 (except the Rapid can be 25) and ALL MUST BE FACTORY UNREGULATED then what you WILL experience compared to your regulated Crown are tighter spreads then you add Huma regulators to them then see 1fps sd and under 10 spread that's useless since it won't make the guns more accurate anyway ask me how I know then you get to be paranoid whether or not your first shot may miss after storing the guns then you won't know till after you miss but still wonder if it was the gun that missed or you.

OH or add a HUMA to an old factory unregulated 22 FX Bobcat (Probably around $500-$650) you be kinda wowed at the tight spread with this one too. Didn't need a reg either though.

That is a pretty good spread. But to tighten it up, I'd find the knee of the power curve. First max out the hammer adjuster and power wheel. Then slowly measure power output at one pressure setting or another till you find what pressure peak power output is at. The pressure gauges arent all that accurate, sadly. So I can't tell you what that pressure is. Once you find the most powerful regulator setting, dial it back 5-10 bar.

Repeat the same process for the hammer tension adjustment. Find peak output setiing, and dial it back a little bit.

The hammer tension on my FX is set at the precipice where power starts falling off HARD. That way, when I do turn it down, I've got a huge range of adjustment. This is also a very efficient spot to be in. In regards to very low valve dwell time for relatively high power output. Muzzle report should be pretty tame as well as a result of low valve dwell.

For more consistency you want to dial the power up a hair from here, so the gun is still under peak output, but is not all that much lower. The power curve will be a good bit flatter here.

But the other variable is harmonics... if you're searching for supreme accuracy. Without an oscilloscope, it's a game of try and see. Slug type/weights, and power level adjustment experiments, until something works. Honestly, though, my latest go at tuning for slugs was anticlimactic. New liner, new barrel, did carbon fiber bond the liner. 21gr LDC .218s, and it just worked. Max power, no adjustments. Just a sight in. 😲

Red bar here indicates my tune, on the left side of the curve. Green bar would be a little less efficient, but more consistent.
