What was your first ever air rifle?

My first was the Daisy 880. It was actually quiet accurate when shooting pellets. I remember in grown up age I got a Diana 54 springer, which was much more powerful, and expensive, but I never got it to shoot as good as the Daisy
I probably did not have the knowledge back then, and I guess I used to light pellets for the Diana. I sold it after a couple of years. Brought a new 880 again a couple of years ago just for fun, next to my expensive FX pcp`s, and it was a litle sad to see most parts are plastic now.

My first experience with an 'air rifle' dates back to the 1960's when my brother got a push barrel BB gun (likely something like a Crosman V-350 purchased out of the Sears catalog) for Christmas.
Air rifles certainly have come a long way since then, but we likely had as much fun with that first Crosman as anything I've had since. We never shot out an eye, but I recall several times when we had to replace a window pane on the side of the garage!

Daisy Model 25.
My grandfather found it in three pieces.
I had to rebuild it (1958) as best I could.
It didn’t look good but it shot well until about 2006.
I bought one of the Chinese copies.
Sent it back.
Finally found one from Rogers, AR:

Daisy BB gun. I'm sure they doesn't make the model, or at least the one I had any more. Probably a Red Rider. It was a lot like the one in the move A Christmas Story. It had the swing gate at the end of the muzzle and loaded there.

A Crosman .177 CO2 rifle that had a magazine for 10 or so BB's (which I was forbidden to use) or could single-load pellets. At the time both pellets and powerlets (CO2) were cost prohibitive to me, but when I'd get some, I'd shoot the snot out of it, mostly in the basement at a target trap. It did not get me into airguns so much as it whetted my appetite for a 'real' firearm. It wasn't until ~20 years and a few airguns later that I started to appreciate airguns for their own sake. Now I'm hooked (both air and powder).

My first ever airgun was a Crosman 760. Got it in 1965 for my tenth birthday. Mom was livid! Took out hundreds of rabbits with that gun! Sold the feet to my friends for a buck as good luck charms... Kinda ironic, don't you think?

Aside from the obligatory Daisy Red Ryder BB gun, I bought a Beeman R8 with every accessory and spare part they made. I kept it for 30 years in perfect condition and sold it to a good friend who is a collector. Nice rifle.

Ah yes.... The beloved Daisy 880 pump action air rifle. That this was a powerhouse for it's time. Accurate to about 20 yards. Not bad for a non rifled barrel. Killed 1000's of small birds with that gun. Back in the mid 80's, when life was good!!!!!!!

I can't remember the make of the first one I had. It was a break barrel in the mid 60's. I often used a neighbors Daisy pump action and double barrel BB guns back then. I can recall owning a Marksman pistol and a Crosman 760 in later years.
