Hi everyone,
I'm going to buy a gamo swarm magnum to hunt game such as: rabbits, squirrels, pigeons and ducks.
When looking at all the ammo choices Ifelt a bit overwhelmed though. I figured I was going to pick a few and see what my rifle like best but still I need to narrow down the selection.
So my question is, what type of ammo will I likely have most succes with hunting these animals? In terms of type (hollowpoints, domed pointed, polymer tip, weight catagory etc).
I was tempted to simply go for slightly heavier dome shaped pellets like the JSB Match Diabolo Exact Jumbo Heavy .22 Cal or the H&N Baracuda Match .22 Cal, 21.14 Grains, Round Nose, 200ct.
However I also see so many other type of pellets like the polymag, Baracuda Hunter Extreme Pellets, H&N Terminator Pellets, Gamo Rocket .22 Cal etc. Are these types of pellets really better for hunting?
Any feedback would be welcome!
Kind regards, Franz
Edit: I changed the title where before I tpye 45 joule because it was advertised that way on a website I was going to buy from. But based on what I saw after doing some research high 30 or maybe low 40 is as much as can be expected from this rifle. Sorry
