What tripod do you use???

That's a nice design. I suppose if you're not on flat ground you'd have to be careful setting up the tripod, so you are close to flat. But having the limited range of motion on the head is probably a good thing for most users.
It's a tripod, you adjust the legs to level. I have a level on my scope of course. Because I'm basically stationary it's 'easy' to get close to level. and not have to worry about the head flopping around, Now that you've made that comment I need to put on a horizontal bubble level, if I can find a spot for it.
 
I utilize two different setups depending on the situation: the Caldwell Precision Turret and the Bog DeathGrip.
